San Diego 12/8 AWD order and just got VIN over night. Also got this “change” regarding Tesla Vision.

Anyone else get this on VIN assignment?

Everyday my heart sinks lower and lower. My credit drastically changed from when I applied to when I may receive my order. They say the pull is good for 60 days. I just bought a home and it put a ding on the report, while temporary, if I had to repull my credit Id be screwed, on top of the Tesla hard pull from 50days ago...

that’s pretty much exactly what happened to me. I went from a TD Bank Tesla loan at 6.69% interest to having that loan expire, reapplying and getting a Santander 8.89% loan through Tesla. Then I joined the historical society and one of the federal credit unions here and got a loan at 5.29% for 60 months. I think the credits use TransUnion so I highly recommend taking the approach I did.

There's been a few threads on this, Tesla has specifically said you should not run your credit until at least you have a VIN. It is not necessary and will not delay the order process without the financing part complete. Unfortunately they don't put that in the app warning you clear enough. Although it does say that it will only last for I believe 30 days in the app.

The good news is that when they pull your credit, your credit will go down but they'll be basing it off of when they pull it not the result of them pulling it.

I don't understand? If I say I'm paying CASH to Tesla, why is there a credit pull. I will have a bank check from Navy (as I did when I bought my S) . They take check. Call Navy, navy confirms, they have cash. What's with credit check. They get check from your bank. Which is cash to them.
