Tesla Allowing CT Trade-in Towards a CT w/ Free SuperCharging

I am not saying that it makes financial sense BUT my family is going to road-trip the hell outta our AWD CT w/ free SuperCharging.

I don’t yet have a response from Tesla on the trade-in value, so there is that. I might yet attempt a private sale if the value offered is less than what I want.

TL/DR: I’m eating some depreciation to get “tactical grey” and free SuperCharging for as long as I own it. And it looks like I’m being allowed to trade in my “old” CT with 16,000 miles.

the math i would do is to calculate your intended supercharging value over say 5 or 10 years to see if it makes sense

I don’t think Tesla is accepting CyberTruck as trade in. I was considering upgrading to a Beast and submitted my VIN a week or so ago and they texted back saying they were not taking CTs as trade ins.

Well, there goes the last good argument for free supercharging. If they’re allowing this, then anyone who really wants that perk it could do it.

It doesn’t make straight-up financial sense. Except I’m getting a range extender and plan to road trip the shit out of it hauling an Airstream.

Someone on FB had a trade in offer pending for 4 days and then it was rejected. I would already shop to see what Carvana/Carmax would offer as well.

I went down this rabbit hole as I thought about selling
my truck(I love it but the attention). Carvana isn’t buying them yet and CarMax needs a in person appointment. I had one scheduled but as I was making the hour long drive I cancelled it because the truck drives so smooth
Cars.com claims they would buy it at a really good price but again you need to bring it to a dealer who will look over the truck with a magnifying glass and not offer what was stated online.
