Serious fisherman here. How do you fit 8ft one piece rod in the truck?

Will the cargo lighting in the truck bed be covered up? I figured they would design it to be incorporated. The tent seems like a well thought out piece of kit that is less of an aero nightmare than the typical RTT and a lot easier to get in and out. Nice big vestibule. I love the idea of wiring pass through for heater/fan/lighting. Kind of a bummer they didn’t integrate some LED lighting and underscores the bummer that the rear window on the truck is fixed. It would be really great to have a passthrough from the tent into the cabin.
Double wall construction so might be passable as a four season tent. Big concern, though, is whether 8 PSI air frame can hold up to major wind. Also curious if the vestibule can zip off or at least be securely stowed if dealing with high winds or just a place where staking out the vestibule poles would be a pain.
workaround? So I was thinking about something today while watching this video. Imagine you're camping, cozy and asleep in your sleeping bag, when suddenly your Cybertruck flies away with you on top, bc my phone... which was my key, was with me in the tent.
I don't know why this just became an irrational fear of mine but I am gonna keep phones bluetooth off when in my cozy tent.
Or do you think it would only allow any of that if actually in the vehicle? Thoughts?
Interesting. Thank you!
Probably the same way you would in a F-150. I don't fish, but you can put it diagonal and leave some of the rod extended outside or you can leave the tail gate down and tie the rods down. If you can figure it out then I hope you don't take a boat out to sea.Serious fisherman here. How do you fit 8ft one piece rod in the truck?
my rod and reels that I carry are way more expensive than the truck. Hanging them out is not an option. I haven’t own a F150 but trucks that have cabin access are ok and also SUVs. Taking delivery in 10 days. Might need to cut a whole in the glass.Probably the same way you would in a F-150. The lack of a rear window pass through may pose significant problems for you. I know they are about simplicity but not having the rear window raise and lower was a major miss for them IMO. It would be great to be able to put things like fishing rods in the bed with the tips coming into the cabin. I'm sure road noise and cabin HVAC would suffer with it open but when it's useful it would be so worth it. It would be amazing to be able to put dog beds in the bed and have them stick their heads into the cabin.my rod and reels that I carry are way more expensive than the truck. PS, I am in chartering business and own fleet of boats.
I was referring to those times you just may need a place to crash so you just find a place to crash, not necessarily deep in the woods. But, my secondary concern WAS bears too. LolWho the heck is gonna steal your truck out in the middle of the woods??!?

Oh. Nevermind
I mean, that would work, but you could always just do what all tent campers do, and throw on a tarp.Folks, it's just a tent. No facilities, not fully waterproof, except for electricity pass through for led lights and an electric blanket. If winds and storms are forecast, you're sleeping in the CT's cabin, in dog kennel mode!
All you have to do is exit the Tesla App, or turn off your BlueTooth -- key disabled. So I was thinking about something today while watching this video.
