Hadn't thought of that, could be rough if you were out somewhere and left your phone etc in the truck.NOTE TO SELF: when truck loses power...don't close the door

Oh wow, that is super low mileage, I thought you had a couple hundred on it, hopefully they get it back to you soon and you don't have further problems.I also forgot to mention, the truck only has 72 miles on it.
In this case, it was a power issue as confirmed by OP. Sometimes you have to use common sense and put two and two together and go with the most likely issue.Actually it's not. The door will not open for a number of possible reasons. The main computer has to tell it to open.
Are you using the West Palm Beach service? If so hopefully they can sort this out quickly.Wonder how many memes are being made from people seeing this on the highway

That's as good a guess as anything, but I wouldn't rule anything out at this point.Keep us posted on the root cause of the problem. My guess? A defective 48v battery from the supplier.
My guess is wiring between the two batteries, but a bad 48v could do it too. Although lithium ion 48v batteries are WAY more durable and reliable than lead acid 12v so would be a long shot.Keep us posted on the root cause of the problem. My guess? A defective 48v battery from the supplier.
Probably the same thing you would have done if your old gas car just stopped. Try to pull to the side of the road and call for assistance.Very! What if I was driving and it did this...
Steering doesn't work when the car loses power, car brakes when you let off the accelerator whereas a gas car will still coast and allow you to steer captain dummy.Probably the same thing you would have done if your old gas car just stopped. You can thank me later

So you wondered what would happen, thus, you don't know what would happen, yet, you now know it won't coast and won't steer? I guess it has already happened to you. And in your response, my guess with physics and inertia, it would still coast some and yea, you MAY NOT be able to pull to the side of the road and you still call for help.Steering doesn't work when the car loses power, car brakes when you let off the accelerator whereas a gas car will still coast and allow you to steer captain dummy.
Yea scary when an EV goes dark, a lot less control than an ICE car that just looses forward power.Steering doesn't work when the car loses power, car brakes when you let off the accelerator whereas a gas car will still coast and allow you to steer captain dummy.
