Reserved the cybertruck in 2019 in first 3 mins of reveal in Dallas but moved for work in St Louis where I registered the Truck. No vin assigned yet (December 8th config) and the local Tesla location tells me not to expect delivery until mid summer. The lack of information is depressing. I have no idea how deliveries are being handled. None of it makes sense and I work in Logistics!

Welcome aboard. Stick around for a bit, you'll see a lot of people in this situation.
Typically, we can get a better idea of your predicament if you can supply some info:
AWD/Beast (Obviously, if Beast, get comfortable), your RN number (first 5 digits), You said day 1, so I am gonna assume a low RN number. Also, location... You mentioned Dallas, but then said you're registering in St Louis bc you moved there for work, is this your delivery location? If so, CA and TX are where the majority of deliveries have taken place.

I also suggest you read up on a lot of the forum threads as they are extremely informative.

Each state now has its own delivery schedule. So you will still be the first few in your state.

i rather take the later delivery if i am in your shoe. Too much hassles for early adapters.

11278 rn number. Configured an AWD foundation series on December 8th. Registered the car which reflects delivery location. I'm 99% sue my location of Missouri is the reason for the delay.

Yea 11278 is a pretty low RN, especially with some 1130s getting delivered, likely location is causing the long lead time.

For me, the biggest problem is lack of communication. Tesla should engage the customer. They should be able to provide rough estimates of milestones (i.e. VIN assignment) and delivery.

Dumb question - how do we call the service center? I can only get through to the main line and they don’t provide much info. I have a VIN. 12/19 order. Super early reservation. SoCal.

The lack of communication is because even Tesla doesn't know the timeframe at this stage. But so far deliveries are still all in the estimated Windows.

We then can talk about the true "delay" at the beginning of next month.

That sucks!

Being in Logistics you'll probably be familiar with economic run and the batching of orders.

It's possible that are not enough numbers of orders in your immediate to prioritize a production run and transport.

That's what I suspected for my city except it just by the border of more affluent CA cities. Still, tons of later orders from the Bay Area jumped over me and I got my VIN longer than average.

Question: When you ordered the AWD on 12/8/23…were you provided with an estimated delivery timeframe?(eg Jan-Mar 2024)??

I was given a Jan-March delivery range yes. Which is regardless of your state.
