"Neighbors account" how far away does this neighbor live?
Slept on account mix-up for 2 years?
I don't believe that Tesla allowed Model 3 delivery on your account for someone else. I couldn't even get Tesla to take my wife's car off my account after an amicable separation with legal documents.

The question hasn't been answered, did the original $100 reservation deposit made by your credit card in your name? The $1000 order deposit?
Yes, $100 and $1000 made by my chase credit card, I had statement with my name and address.

Yea considering that, if you paid both times, and they took the money both times, especially the full payment I would say that the truck is yours.
If they had an issue they should have mentioned it early on, during the $100, $1,000 and then final $100,000 payments.

Today I went to Tesla Irvine, California to pick up the Cybertruck that I had been waiting for for 5 years. I paid it , but when I arrived at Tesla, the salesperson unilaterally canceled my pickup order due to account email issues, and refused to refund the deposit and car payment. It has been confirmed that the account issue is Tesla's mistake, but my CYBERTRUCK cannot be pick up, which is really disappointing.
Well, no big deal. You only waited 4+ years, and were told the wait was FINALLY over, like holding up a hot fudge sundae you ordered in front of you, then smashing it to the ground. Good job, Tes.

Not Tesla's fault.

Tesla staff were very pushy during the communication process and they seemed unable to change any mistakes. They canceled my pick up and were not even willing to return my car payment of $110,373.21. After I protested, they said they could consider returning it to me after 15 working days. All these years later, Tesla is still a baby company. If similar customer service existed at Amazon, Apple, BMW, Rivian., I think my problem would have been solved within an hour.
Lol I think that you think wrong. No retailer can refund that sum in an hour.

They make mistakes too. I took my BMW to BMW of Austin for service. They emptied out the car and sent it to Dallas to be sold as a used car. I was really pissed. Got it back a couple days later. They threw in a free detailing.

So mature dealers make mistakes too
holy crap I would have freaked out lol

Update,

Tesla's Brain called me and said he would give me some updates next Tuesday, hoping there would be good news.

Tesla previously gave me two options:

1. Cancel the order and lose $1,100.

2. When my neighbor comes back from overseas, notify Tesla that the cybertruck can be picked up within 2 weeks.

I refused them all. I hope tesla will resolve our account issue and pick up the car in the name of the real owner of the order, which is me.
So let me get this straight - this entire thing is straightened out if your "overseas" neighbor who has had your Tesla account merged with his but you did not correct it for over two years just comes with you to pick it up? And you refused this? That is completely nonsensical. Assuming this story is real, which I do not believe at this point, that is a very reasonable offer by Tesla. This looks like you're trying to pull one over on them, and all they are asking for is that the parties involved come forward to make sure everything is legit - yet you refused this?

Go ahead and kiss your $1100 goodbye.

Lol this is such garbage.

IF you are telling the truth, and I was in your shoes, I would go there together, with my neighbor, and if Tesla insisted it needs to be titled in your neighbor's name then I would title it in his name, transfer the truck to your name and pay the transfer fees additional tax and whatever else it costs. If your story is legit, there is slim chance Tesla would come after you for the transfer (sale of the truck) at zero profit, given they have a record of your story. Although the other issue is that, without Tesla's approval of the transfer, the truck would technically still be under your neighbor's account and he could lock you out of the truck any time he wanted to, if you ever pissed him off.

I may be missing something, but Tesla does not accept company checks for payment.

"I paid in full with my company check" JJBAN
Yup. Exactly. Picked mine up last week. Cashiers check or wire transfer payments only. No exceptions.

Not buying the OPs story on this.
