I think the take rate on the foundation series is lower than they wanted and this could be a way to boost it.

Or it could be high demand and they decided they want to reward loyal shareholders with a scarce product.

Im not familiar with 3 and Y roll outs. Did this happen back then?
Model 3 rollout had a priority for all legacy Tesla owners. Basically you owned Model S/X/Roadster, you will take delivery first in that area. Model Y rollout is pretty normal I think. Nothing special. Part of it because there wasn't really a production ramp for Model Y like for Model 3 or Cybertruck. It was probably the only Tesla model that went in production and rolled out on time.

Geez man, what about us Tesla rookies who never owned a Tesla and has like 4 shares of TSLA stock?!?

Shouldn't there be an incentive to acquire new Tesla customers? After all, one of the few things I learned from my MBA is that it cost companies between 5 and 25 times more money to acquire new customers, compared to retaining existing companies.

Every time I see these new incentives rewarding existing customers, it discourages me more as a new customer. :(
Being ahead in this case is not a good thing unless money for you is not an issue. Many early adapters me included pay higher price to get the newest first model. My 2018 Model 3 AWD with FSD cost a lot more compared to same specified M3 that is so much better in fit and gap and quality. Especially this up coming highland M3. Some early owners never even get to test or try FSD before they traded or lease expired.

Again with the higher 25K and paying at $100K I will not get a FS CT. I will wait for my $80k DM CT... hopefully by then it will be cheaper and can get the full 7.5k fed instant rebate.

Anyone recall if this is the Same or Similar language to the 30K credit early delivery program a few weeks ago?
One thing I noticed was that this time the program doesn't mention 45-day delivery. For the reward program, it promised delivery within 45 days.

Love it! Overall, this will separate the boys from the men...and weed out those who simply want to flip.

TSLA close on Feb 26 2021: $225.17

TSLA close today: $177.77

Loss on 500 shares: $23700 exactly.

So maybe I guess you deserve to get your truck a little early if you lost an f ton of cash on the company?

Though I'd rather the stock didn't tank. If it did then I could sell and buy the Cybertruck. That's the irony, they'd get more buyers if the investors could cash out of their holdings.
uh, you forgot the 3-for-1 split on August 25, 2022.

It'd just be nice if someone ahead of us would DM and offer to let us in their truck in exchange for a coffee or scone or something ^-^ I'm not so cheap to not reward someone who's being nice.
This☝

Especially being in a state with a general lack of public Cybertruck sightings (like me in SC), it would be great to get to see one up close and possibly go for a ride. I would gladly buy a case of beer (or drink of choice ) to go for a 30 minute ride while I wait for another year or two to get my own truck....

Like you, I would be a great beta tester. But like you said, Tesla doesn't know that.

I meet all criteria but 500 Shares!! That’s a little extreme.. I only own a little bit over 100 and never sold a single one since 2016!
if you had 50 shares in 2016, you would have well over 500 after a 5:1 and 3:1 stock splits.

I have held tesla shares since 2016 too but have bought and sold them at various times and got caught out in 2020 and had to buy back in at $1500 per share. I recently had 1000 shares but sold 1/2 and still have 504 between two accounts.

No email but did redacted and joined 4 PDF statements into 1 pdf with TSLA Share holding as proof.
Are you saying you emailed tesla or you just combined your statements in preparation?

its a third party that handles the voting, tesla dosnt see your vote or how many shares you have,
Wait a minute, Tesla doesn’t see you vote for a Tesla board meeting? Does it go into the dumpster? Anyway, it is on Tesla’s IR site that they say that they know I am a Tesla stockholder, not Say.

I don't put too much weight into the exact stock price at any given moment if I don't need the money in the moment, that's just short-medium term volatility, TSLA will likely hit 1000 within 4 years.

I see people complaining about the 500 share threshold to get expedited delivery. I bought most of my shares in 2019 which means every share I bought is now 15 shares after a 5 for 1 and a 3 for 1 split. I paid under $13/share (split adjusted) for most of my shares. So the 500 share threshold could be less than $10K for those buying in 2019. For those buying before the stock split it's only 33 shares. Isnt investing fun?

The auto market is pretty soft right now and that wil impact all manufacturers cash flow and margins, this is just Tesla giving those who own the company a chance to buy the higher margin Foundation Series before switching to Cybertrucks without all the extras. I expect my VIN within the next couple of weeks so I doubt this wil expedite my delivery, but I qualify so maybe I'll submit my info just to cover all my bases.
I was just saying it in response to the comment that stock holders have all made a lot of money. I bought TSLA to help pay for my Cybertruck, and it will help. If nothing else I have at least stayed above water, but i will need to sell stock to pay for the CT and, if I were to sell right now, it would be a loss for those shares.
