Hi, my wife's X auto unlocks when my phone is near it and locks when walking away. Is there any way to get the CT to do that?

Rn it usually (but not always) stays locked when I walk up. Then I have to unlock manually through the app. But even when doing that I have to pull the door handle multiple times until it actually opens.

there are no “handles” on a Cybertruck bud

there is no unlock on approach with CT.

Yes, it should auto unlock as you approach, meaning you should simply be able to press the door pop button to enter.

I meant pressing the black button that opens the door. After manually unlocking through the app, and seeing its unlocked because the mirrors come out, I need to press the black button multiple times for door to open

Are you saying it should in theory or do you mean you know definitely that it can do so?

When I picked it up, I asked about that and they said i just have to set that in the software but I don't see where. I don't think they knew or they would have just done it for me

Definitely, but I should clarify. The vehicle will auto unlock only when your phone is nearby. Also, ensure you configured phone key in security --> setup phone key.

If you are only using the key card, that will not unlock automatically when in vehicle range, it touched to the door pillar.

Do you have the truck as the active vehicle in your app? My understanding is you must have it selected for the phone key to work.

there are a few steps you need to take!
first make sure you phone is setup as a key

second: if you are using an iphone

go to settings (main settings for iPhone)—> Tesla and make sure all of your settings look like this

If you have an older samsung phone make sure when your phone goes idle it does not pause bluetooth, which will make it so the truck does not see it and therefore does not unlock.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I stopped by the SC this morning and they couldn't fix it either. They basically said that sometimes the CT is in deep sleep and it can take the door a few seconds to be responsive. Don't think the issue is on the phone because it works great for my wife's X. The CT just has a more significant delay

all phones eventually do this now. Even on my modern samsung, I have it set to always keep app awake, never clear cache, etc. And still, one day per month, I come outside, pull the handle, nothing (model y).

Yea, so many different phones with different hardware and software, the older samsungs did it a LOT and if the OP has one may need to check into an app like Bluetooth Always to keep it from dropping.
