Skipped early res to allow for refinement of CT, and like some have mentioned i extended myself with some real-estate purchases recently. Also I still have some value to get out of my daily driver.

Thinking of going model X like the skipper here and potentially skipping CT for a few years, as the CT needs to perform truck duties that I think the current CT may be limited in capacity.
2nd res is RN115 group, will see when and then.

Got mine two weeks ago, as much as I’ve been bragging on how I put my $100 down 2 days after the announcement and made over 100k on buying their stock from that time. I just can’t get myself to do it. Sadly it doesn’t replace any vehicles in my fleet for the situation we live in. It won’t fit in the corkscrew parking garage of our downtown Denver loft/office nor probably (maybe with rear steer and tough body panels) go to the camp/hunt spots of my 4Runner. We just started doing test runs towing our 19’ 4,000lbs Airstream with my wife’s R1S to be sure we can make a desolate 147mi stretch from Bluff UT to a campground in Tuba City through Oljato Valley for our annual mountain bike Sedona trip and by the looks of it CT won’t do that without the range extender. I already get my share of dbag hi-fives and thumbs up with the Southwest themed “Indian Fire” Red 1969 Mach I I bought with said Tesla stock while only wearing RRL and I don’t think the CT will have the same visceral feel as my wife’s 1977 twin pugged 911 we rip up and down the 40mi i70 stretch to and fro Denver of our daily commute. I had a Model 3 yet opted to jump on the Polestar 2 early adopter wagon and although the Model 3 is a superior vehicle in a lot of ways the Polestar totally suffices on my daily 100mi +\~ commuting up and down the hill and between our Denver businesses yet is somehow more pleasing to drive maybe with its static Ohlens suspension? Yet it feels lighter on its toes spirited driving through the mountain curves which I’m sure the CT won’t have along with just dealing with a full sized truck in the city despite rear steering for the parking aspect. We have a business in the Berkeley neighborhood and it is a nightmare dealing with the side streets there in any bigger vehicle let alone a full size truck. So with that I am skipping the FS and hoping that my number doesn’t come up for another year for the regular AWD and that FSD becomes half of what was promised so I can laptop my way down the hill with it, otherwise the Cybertruck would only serve as another conversation piece in my driveway.

This is how your account looks like when you skip the foundation series.

I was told to remove hold once they start shipping non-foundation cars, and that it might take a while, which also means they might build a good number of foundation cars. My foundation VIN was under 1100 and now it was released to make someone else very happy

Hmmm. Idk if I would call that skipping as much as ordering and then changing your mind lol but you're still welcome here!

Makes me want to order and ask to hold.

What if they still make you buy a foundation series even when they start doing non-FS though? Like because you already ordered that trim

The Tesla rep said this is how it goes to get a nom-foundation truck. I really wanted to complete the purchase and only changed my mind due to the number of missing features at this time, no fsd, no steam, no homelink, no this, no that.
I hope by years end I can get me an all-wheel-drive paying 7k for FSD (promised lock in price at reservation time) and actually have FSD in it.

in the meantime I went ahead and purchased an F150 lightning, which I am loving it.
I have fsd in my M3 and MX and it is a big part as to why I rather have teslas.

one more thing, because I have solar+powerwalls+wall charger, the extra foundation hardware to do truck to house is unnecessary for me… yet another reason not to get a foundation package

Yea I'm in the same boat aside from placing the order. I bought an x to hold me over. Sold my Y.

My tax credit can cover my FSD. Unless I transfer it from my X

With an RN# of 113xxx I’m in between. Not yet in this invite club but actually glad many upgrades / recall fixes / aftermarket products will be available when my ticket is called.
I think that the FS will be complete by then.

Aren't they already in the 113s?

Just wanted to make a place where we could all complain about the people buying their way in to the front of the line like we're in a real life pay to win EA game.

Lol jk jk

But this is a safe place for trauma bonding ?. You got the good news that you can get your CT! it's only 20k more than the 30k more you barely got over.

Hi, I'm @Gurule92, and I'm a FS skipper.

I'm too poor and want to get the tax credits. What's your reasoning?
Same as yours I saved like crazy to get my CT now I don't have time to save double. I understand the reasoning for a price increase but come on, double? I will be needing the tax rebate. Is this the old bait and switch?

I got the invite today. 11284xxxx. I am working on building a rental house. Gotta focus on those appreciating assets first.
Love the priorities. Appreciating cash flowing assets to buy depreciating toys.

How did you place your order on hold? We have similar RN11277.... I just left mine in "Start Designing" mode waiting for word that we can finally order non FS models. Thanks for the assist.

They placed their FS order then asked to be on hold. I have my worries about this method though. I think Tesla may still try to hold you to the FS trim. Just because they can always make one but hopefully it works as planned

I did place a $1500 deposit, later I called and ask to wait for a non FS series. I was told the order will be on-hold until EOY.

Main reasons for postponing were 1. Value, 2. No FSD yet, 3. No battery extender 4. No Steam games ever.

I hope I will be able to buy an AWD CT paying 7k for an FSD that exists and a battery extender, making the CT a great roadtrip EV.
