Has anyone paid the $1K to configure the FS and then asked to pass when the pre-delivery tasks were ready to move forward on? Can you use the deposit?

Can you use the $100+$1000 deposit towards a non-FS model if you change your mind on the FS to wait for a standard CT; and forgo your chance to purchase when your pre-delivery tasks are requested? Or do you lose the money and your future place in line?

I’m starting to get cold feet waiting for the VIN, and considering the same thing. Waiting for the non Foundation Series.

I have a 3 year old, and am starting to worry about the reliability of these early vehicles. Getting stranded with him would not be ideal.

It’s nice to know the $1K can be moved towards another Tesla.

Should they move to the back? Behind the people who are holding out for non-FS by just not ordering FS?

Or should they be early non-FS because they placed their 1000 down.

Will Tesla let them buy non-FS under this reservation? Or force a new reservation and apply the 1k to that?

When FS ends, they will go down the line starting from the earliest RN offering non FS. If you didn't want to take FS, you didn't have to put down your $1000. The fact that you did, and then changed your mind, should not impact your position in line. Because how many other people would have put down the $1000 if it was for non-FS in the first place? I see what you're saying, but Tesla's viewpoint could be that you officially used your reservation to order a FS CT. there is no reason that they can't just slap that badge on a truck even once the main FS run has stopped and still give it to you. .

The probability that they try to hold you to the FS order on that res is non-zero.

It would be nice of them to let you do a non-FS order on that same res though. As long as you have to wait until the people who got invited before you get their non-FS.
