I realize it’s speculation right now but, do you have any concerns about the accelerator? Do you have any reservations about driving it with the news of the delivery delays?

I’m on the fence about driving it until something is released about what is going and if there is an issue.

I just had mine inspected this week while the truck is in service getting the delivery inspection findings finally fixed.

You could always just schedule an appt via the app or try and stop in to a service center to see if you can make them do a quick inspection if they are not at capacity.

It’s the cover on the accelerator pedal not the pedal itself. Reach down there and see if the cover is loose at all. If it’s loose, take it off. There isn’t much more you can at this point other than choose not to drive it. It’s really a personal choice.

Good to know! I thought it was related to the accelerator getting stuck.

I need to make an appointment anyways because the tonneau cover gets stuck on a trim piece and won’t close when I try to close it on the screen.

My answer is the same as @DumpsterFire. Nope. Is it for sure an accelerator problem? I’ve heard speculation on the forum but no confirmation from Tesla. Maybe they have and I just don’t know. If there was a problem with existing trucks, my hope would be they notify us of exactly what they issue is and what we need to do. Until then, I’m just gonna keep enjoying it. ?

In order for it to get stuck two things need to happen. First you have to floor it. Second it then needs to slide off. Those two things are required to try and get it stuck under that slight gap.

For me, I have never floored my CyberTruck, so this can’t happen to me. Plus, mine is not loose.

I was concerned enough to print a cap that fits over the top of the accelerator, not concerned enough to stop driving.

I have no concerns since it is so hard to get to that situation. The worst case, just hit brake and put it to park to stop it.

I can tell you how to fix that if you are mechanically inclined and have tools.

I checked it. No not concerned.

if I have them fix it they better fix some other darn thing at the same time or it's really not worth the trouble to take it in.

No reservations either. Media blowing it out of proportion.
