Finally Got My VIN In Atlanta, GA!! Config 01-11-24. VIN 04-19-24

Let me put that in context. People who got a Jan-Mar estimate with Dec orders are just starting to get theirs now.

I don't want to bust any bubbles, but it seems that too many people go around to their friends saying "I ordered a Cybertruck" and then probably get laughter and taunts of "Where's your Cybertruck"

My suggestion, don't tell anyone that you've got it until you do.

Driving up in one is so much more of a surprise!

Congrats. I’ll be lucky to get an invite by the end of this year. I’m thinking this time next year I’ll have it in hand. Which is perfect. By then it would be time for me to let go of my Merc EQS.

Yes there is a message.
Yes, you can complete the loan application.
Yes, it may expire.
No it's not a big deal to redo it.
Yes, it's sometimes just easier to get everything out of the way.
No, it doesn't impact your credit report.
Yes, if there may be any issues getting the credit cleared, you learn about it earl


You should be able to wait until you get the VIN, but don't wait until delivery day.

My config date was 1/12/24 for probably Alpharetta / Roswell - wondering if it’s getting close.

So got my VIN today! The Duluth SC is on the paperwork, so I’m assuming that is where delivery will be. No date yet.

… and my wife texts me a pic of the first one she, or I, have seen in the wild - anyone have pizza for lunch today? ?

A 94XX VIN suggests that that is brand new and probably just getting loaded into transport. It will take a few days before it makes it over here.

Thanks! That's helpful. I've been trying to estimate timing. I had thought about running over there at some point just to check things out. Interesting on the accelerator mods not being done. I'll be curious to see if mine has the mod or if they did something else at the factory to correct it.

I configured 3/21 and got Vin today, so it’s moving faster.
I did not do any loan paperwork and I believe that might’ve sped things up because they know I need the vin to get the loan terms to be able to take Delivery.

If you are getting your loan from a third-party, make sure that they know that you are getting a Tesla and make sure they give you Tesla specific instructions. If they haven't and you don't have the correct instruction, well, luck be with you.
Tesla does the third-party loan thing differently than dealers.
One of the classic issues is that you can't get the loan check until they something like Bill of Sale. And Tesla won't give you it until you pay for the vehicle. (I forget which exact document it is).

While the bank thinks they're God, Tesla proves them otherwise. (from what I've seen, Tesla is actually correct)
Tesla just gave me a 6.39%, yours of course may be different, but if you use Tesla, the experience is "Fill in 6 lines of information, press submit"
