I got a 35K range VIN CT recently and have gone into the service center for some minor gap issues on the driver door.

Were there widespread issues that plagued the early CTs that I should be aware of or even get it remedied by Tesla proactively?

My truck does make a lot of noise when driving, which I saw the post by Tesla about CTs making various noises and are normal. But Iā€˜m unsure if that’s my case or if there’s something else going on.

Thanks for any info.

My only issue (Aug Beast pickup), was a door alignment tweak. It was not much, but enough to notice. Everything else has been great without issue, 5K miles so far - including a 1900 mile road trip.

Im a vin in the 1200s - never had an issue, but they pro actively replaced both inverters, wiper motor, and other minor things.

My experience:

Thank you. I felt weird putting in a ticket about noise when putting on the heater because it goes away. So I’m unsure if that’s normal or not. But also lots of loose/rattle noise coming from the front end firewall area.

That’s exactly what I went in for.

Any signs/symptoms that those need to be proactively replaced? That was the intent of this thread identify stuff they proactively replace due to better newer parts.

This is what my experience with a 12k VIN range. Wiper motor came with fixed wiper blade. They also completely replaced my bed liner and tonneau cover proactively.

No actual issues yet, just be ready for service visits for proactive work. My service center has been nothing but awesome. I haven't had any bad experiences like some have reported.

Want your opinions here whether I should put in a ticket. Trying to figure if this is normal:

1. Climate control noise: especially loud when the vehicle is cold. Seems to go away after it’s ’warmed up’?
2. Noise from firewall area: sounds like I have bad front wheel bearings. Also sometimes go away after extensive driving.
3. Loud motor noise when in highway: seems to be louder than usual. But is this normal for CT?
4. Other miscellaneous noise from the front area. Can’t pin point the cause and location. Sorry I know this is vague.
5. Noted the wipers don’t do a good job wiping. The passenger side always has streaks and smudges and spray nozzle is a bit weak on that side.

I think it's a little hard to be super proactive because Tesla knows what VINS have the inverters they want to replaced.... we have no way of knowing.

I went it for the rear inverter replacement, and they did the front also because they had some Tesla notes stating that repair was going to be needed as well.

i have wondered at the noises on deceleration - but figured i would wait till i was in shop for something else (maybe tires at some point).

I’ve driven my CT since November 4, 2024. At about 2500 miles. No problems at all. No gap issues, everything working perfectly.

I live near a Tesla showroom so while I was nearby I booked a test drive of the Cybertruck to see if all my issues were present. It was a FS AWD with VIN in the 35K range, so very similar to mine.

It was a dry morning at around 50F. And I was the first person to test drive it so it was cold.

- Motor noise: did not exhibit the louder than usual noise. No wheel bearing noise. It did make a whiny/whistling noise that I did not notice on mine. Surface street for about 5 minutes then 20 minutes in the highway.
- noise from the firewall area: did not hear any rattling or vibrating sound.
- wipers squirt fluid about half way through the up stroke.
- climate control: no noise. I did notice it said ā€˜warming up’ on the climate adjustment section. Didn’t notice that on mine.
- another issue I found, my right scroll wheel on the steering wheel is a bit ā€˜loose’. There are like 2 clicks to the right that are mushy.

I may take it in for service.

I have a noise that is only apparent between 30 mph to 39 mph and only last up to a mile of driving. Sound coming from the front center to passenger side. Sound it there with or without the fan/ heater on. Tried to record it to take to service center but it's not loud enough for my phone to pick up.

My noise is there from 30mph up to 70. It exists even with climate control. SC was unable to fix it.

it sounds like a rattle/vibration sound.
