Has anyone noticed unusual amounts of brake dust on the rear wheels? I use FSD all day and when I’m not, I RARELY use the brake pedal. Thoughts?

You might start with turning off braking in addition to regenerative braking. I have little of any brake dust.

Next question - how do we get the rusty reddish looking dust off the rim? I couldn't easily. I tried dish soap, simple green and some chemical guys wheel cleaner. It's still present on inside of rim.

Scratch remover paste works well with a microfiber cloth.

Iron X should do the trick.

I've never came across brake dust like this. I thought maybe it was rust mixed.

I’ve never had that on. Not even on my Model 3. Which I put 176,000 miles on and never came close to replacing the brake pads. I still think it’s something to do with FSD

I agree the rear wheels do get a lot of dust on the rear wheels. I think the red is part of the bedding of the brake pads. Now why the rears get it so bad? Maybe traction control? I think it's because of the air flow under the truck builds pressure and the spinning wheel is venting some of the air from under the truck pulling all the dust dirt through the wheel and if you have the hub caps its just building up behind the cap.

My Go to clean up the mess is P&S Brake buster followed up with a nice car shampoo or a rinse-less wash. I use my autofiber barrel brush and detail brushes around center cap and lugs and TPMS. When they just need a quick wash I use Pans rinse-less wash because its safe to use in the sun and brake buster or iron x can't be used in direct sunlight or let it dry on the wheel..

After they are squeaky clean ceramic coat the wheels with Gtechniq C5 or Pans new Clean ceramic or just wax them... A coating gives you a sacrificial surface for the ick to eat before eating your wheels. After they are coated they clean up a lot faster.

You can like I did watch every YouTube car detailer videos and they all point to P&S Brake Buster or the new Carpro Wheel X or Iron X ...

I don't get a big red dust build up anymore it's more just black road junk. But I do wash the truck weekly and the wheels are coated with C5. You can see how the junk now just runs off in the foam pic.

I only had the red brake dust on one of my rear wheels. I now have 5000 miles on my pickup and I don't see the dust anymore.

I was looking at those wheels but in 24's can I get a side pic of your truck to see how they look? If you don't mind
