Tesla insurance rates increase

Mine just went up 23%. Are other people seeing this as well? Is the spike have anything to do with vandalism?

I’m not giving mine up because fuck the protesters… I will keep paying in just to piss them off.

I would call them and make them give you a technical explanation as to why they increase the price on a vehicle known to every single professional institution in the world as being the safest, and least likely to even get into a crash in the first place.

Progressive 6mo renewal was this last Thurs. Up 33%....... looking for other options but nothing much better so far. Insurance rates have been steady on the CT for 16 months and all of the sudden this month they go up 33%?????????? Has to due with all the news etc

I’m with State Farm. Just got a quote from Progressive and they are even more than SF. Looks like an increase across the board.

I’m picking up my CT this afternoon.
Comparing from my Model Y insurance it has doubled the premium (Y - $600+ / CT - $1200+ per 6mos coverage) although I assume that is just because of CT is pricey than Model Y.

Also, I am with Geico so I can confirm Geico still provides insurance for CT. San Diego CA.

I do believe insurance premiums will go up due to the protests and vandalism, also it may depend on your area's vandalism statistics.
