absolutely agree, reserved when Cybertruck was unveiled, went to check it at the service center, love it but the size is too much. The only problem with the people is they're stuck in the past design and don't want to even know how magnificent the tech is in there. (my reservation is still intacto_O)
I love TESlA Cybertruck!!

Amazing to whom? Certainly, not the Chinese. Again Tesla is decidedly behind what is available in China from other companies.

Out of spec reference to comment from a Chinese Tesla owner who stated that in China basically nobody who knows anything about cars buys Tesla because they’re way behind.

FSD sort of kind of works in their limited rollout which is in a way impressive but the things that other companies are doing like BYD is next level.
out of spec was months ago-tech changes faster these days. Watch the 'Tesla FSD in China' YT videos from so many owners-you're getting carried away.

I'm constantly amazed by people who are so confidently wrong on a given topic lmao ?

FSD is the most advanced AGI on planet Earth, and no one else is even remotely close. I can't wait for Optimus to be in the hands of normies to finally realize this.

Month ago. FTFY.

I know what FSD can do (i’ve had it since 10.2 or something). Do you know what the other companies are doing? Have you seen those videos?

Pal, I guarantee you I’ve been on FSD longer than you have there’s not a goddamn thing about it that I don’t know what it can do. AND you’re welcome for all the work (and clenching) that I did back since 2020 to get you here.

Now, with that out of the way what is it that you’re trying to say? In English. With sources.

I can't wait for Optimus to be in the hands of normies to finally realize this.
At this juncture we’re not talking about bipedal robots, we’re talking about cars. AND I’ll be waiting right here for all of the accolades and amazement that Tesla is getting from Chinese buyers about their driver assist technology as compared to what’s readily available from other companies.

I love it when you guys are on the crack and start talking crazy!! ?

FSD is not AGI. Elon said it's like a mini AGI, but it's not. FSD training is still categorized as narrow AI and isn't reasoning, making decisions, or changes on its own. That's the goal and Ashok has said he thinks it's possible, but 100% not close at this point.

you said competition is in China-have you watched any other China EV ADS driving in rural areas in dirt, mud, narrow mountainous roads? They're all geo fenced and dare not. 3 young women lost their lives yesterday in Xiaomi SU7 yesterday-it's ADS couldn't detect the barrier.

Also, Figure AI and other robot companies are miles ahead of Optimus. That doesn't mean Tesla cannot catch them, but they have paying customers and robots actually working in factories. Something Elon said should occur next year.

?

I wasn’t even going to bother pointing out that particular nuance, but, obviously you’re correct. I reset the goal post by other means, but either way, yes goal post resetting rejected.

I don’t think you want to compare the number of deaths that have been attributed to auto pilot/fsd in the US; and you certainly can’t compare those figures to China since it’s only been there about 15 minutes. Right?

How many rural roads are there in Shanghai? Whether something is geofenced or not isn’t a measure of how advanced it is and how well it works for a particular application. Is it?

Is my Apple Vision Pro less advanced than my MacBook? I mean my MacBook is more versatile (“works on more roads”), right? ?

I don’t need the AI for this fight, but let’s speed this along shall we:

“Does Tesla have the most advanced FSD software currently available in China if not who does?” - Me to ChatGPT 4.5

—-

4.5 ??

Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) software has faced regulatory challenges in China, leading to a rebranding of the system to “Intelligent Assisted Driving” and the suspension of planned free trials pending necessary approvals.

In contrast, Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers have made significant advancements in autonomous driving technology:

  • BYD: Introduced the “God’s Eye” system, offering advanced driver-assistance features across its vehicle lineup at no additional cost. This strategy aims to democratize self-driving technology, making it as standard as seat belts.

  • Huawei: Developed the Qiankun ADS 3.0 system, which has been praised for its precision in navigating complex driving scenarios, including tight parking spaces and dense traffic.

  • XPeng: Offers advanced autonomous driving features in its vehicles, positioning itself as a strong competitor in the self-driving technology sector.
Given these developments, Tesla’s FSD software does not currently hold the position of the most advanced autonomous driving system in China. Companies like BYD, Huawei, and XPeng have introduced systems that are not only technologically competitive but also more readily available to consumers.

No attempt, whatsoever, to defend your position. OK. I accept your full and unconditional surrender! Thanks for playing. Next!

Not try to ignore the tragedy overall here ...

FYI, A news station (link) reported that driver (non-owner) was driving with hands off the wheel which is illegal there.
[Aside: I can't tell you the number of times Tesla FSD gave me no notice and flashed red before turning off FSD. I always drive with my hands on the wheel, supervising. They didn't make logical sense either. Some were sun shining thru trees. Some I had NO idea why. I also recall the 3 USA college students from a CT crash several months back that was also a tragedy.]

From another article:
https://carnewschina.com/2025/04/01...mi-su7-claims-three-lives-on-chinese-highway/
  • 10:27:17 PM: NOA activated, vehicle speed at 116 km/h
  • 10:28:17 PM: Mild distraction warning issued
  • 10:36:48 PM: NOA issued hands-off warning: “Please hold the steering wheel”
  • 10:44:24 PM: NOA issued risk warning: “Please note obstacle ahead,” with deceleration request
  • 10:44:25 PM: Driver took over from NOA, entering manual driving mode, steering wheel turned 22.0625 degrees left, brake pedal pressed 31%
  • 10:44:26 PM: Steering wheel turned 1.0625 degrees right, brake pedal pressed 38%
  • Between 10:44:26–28: Vehicle collided with concrete barrier
  • 10:44:28 PM: Vehicle eCall triggered
  • 10:44:39 PM: eCall connected, accident confirmed, police and emergency services contacted
  • 10:45:06 PM: Contact established with vehicle owner, confirming non-owner was driving
  • 10:47:15 PM: Emergency medical services successfully dispatched
  • Approximately 11:00 PM: Emergency services arrived at the scene

Correct, and when I said to him ‘you don’t want to compare the number attributed to auto pilot/FSD,’ I meant exactly that and that only ‘attributed to.’ Because it has yet to be proven in my opinion to be the cause in any of the cases I’ve seen.
