I'm sad to report that after a little over a year of ownership Tesla has purchased our Cybertruck back. I used to test drive cars for a living and this is truly one of the most remarkable vehicles ever made, but you all know that already. It was my wife's car and unfortunately it left her stranded twice and had several other issues. The buyback figure that Tesla gave us was simply too amazing to pass up. We drove a total of 16,613 miles at an average of 443.0 Wh/mi.

Here's a variety of photos from our time together. On to the next.

Best,
Gene

The only thing that makes sense after a Cybertruck is a GT4RS of course. Those Winter wheels and tires probably wont fit sadly.

It’ll take more trips to haul those logs, in that.

I find these buy back stories unbelievable. I've bought and owned dozens and dozens of vehicles, many of them new. Dealerships don't buy back vehicles. This either repair them, or on a very rare occasion, they offer a new vehicle. In my honest opinion, anyone claiming this is trying to make the CT look bad and suggesting it's a lemon when it's not. I wish Admin would be a little more diligent with these claims. They are clearly BS. Not here to debate the issue. Just pointing out that it is not a believable story.

People have proved their story. Why do you not believe them?

Ford bought my F150 Diesel back from me and I got another...then traded for a MS. I've never heard of any manufacterer trading vehicles. They buy it back because typically there's a loan on it.

Tesla succumbs to Lemon Law buybacks like all manufacturers because the law forces them to. Go on TMC and see this for all models (MX seems to be the most common), BMW forums, Rivian forums....it happens to every car.

It seems like you are just confused that this is a regular thing and because you don't know that, you claim it's fake and ask the Admin to block them...when typically your posts are removed from these threads.

I hope you are right. Mine left me stranded 2 weeks ago 2.5 hours from home. I had to pay for my own rental home and back to pick it up tomorrow. I don’t have confidence they know what went wrong but the remedy is a brain transplant. (See below).

I envisioned 30-40k per year and I can’t get 4k in 2 months ownership because of 3 SC trips. If it lemons I will stay CT and trade up and roll the dice again. It is an amazing piece of tech and history- I simply got a bad one I think.

I'm not here to argue. I am aware of the lemon laws. It seems coincidental that after the trolls had no luck outright shouting down the CT, we now have a sudden appearance of 'lemon law' buybacks. It's just not believable.

I'm not sure who hurt you to make such a post. Nevertheless here’s a photo of the check. Feel free to come up with conspiracy theories as to why Tesla cut me a check for $87k other than buying back my Cybertruck. ?

Also FWIW after many problems and being stranded twice I asked the service advisor to see if they could buy it back. As I’m a nice guy, long time Tesla customer and investor, and had real safety issues they made it happen. I didn’t have to go the Lemon route. I just asked nicely.

PS. You’re not going to believe it. BUT this CT parked next to mine in the parking lot at Burlington. Also a buyback!

Seems like now that people know you can get a buy back with a few issues, it’s becoming a thing to try.
