Agree! I’m also in this Waiting Room and can’t wait.
I am told it already exists and is working. I have the gateway and two wall chargers on a shelf awaiting the contractor. They are coming next week to install 50 solar panels on my roof, with a single Tesla powerwall, and they say it will operate immediately with my CT.

I like my PowerShare but the only downside it only powers several things and not the whole house. I wouldn’t say it’s false advertisement but from the videos and pictures it made it sound like that. I still got it because it powers the important things like my refrigerator, microwave, stove, several outlets and some lights. Things I need during a blackout.
Mine will power the entire house including HVAC. They are not installing a critical loads panel, unlike with my former permanent generators - everything will be powered.

I believe whether or not it can power your whole home depends on your breaker panel setup?

We have a single 200A panel, and a sub panel that's only for our finished basement. Our PW3 (which can handle the same continuous power as the CT - 11.5kW) can backup our entire home.

Nice, yeah specifically it does NOT work yet for those of us with gateeat 2s, powerwalls, etc. The PowerShare gateway works well with it as direct wired to wall charger.

For us it will be a WiFi connection to powerwalls (like dollar charging is now) to control the trucks output and coordination.

Awesome! I installed 55 panels and 2 powerwalls 3 years ago. Love it! I also have a cybertruck now and universal wall charger but do not have the ability from Tesla to use powershare yet.

About 2 years ago I almost bought 2 more powerwalls (my whole house is electric) but I'm glad I didn't since I have the CT with powershare (eventually).

Similar, I figure 8-9 PowerWalls covered much of the price of truck hehe

Only thing about my system is it's split. We have 400 amp service split across 2 gateways and panels since they max out at 200 amps. So we basically have 2 dollar systems, 2 gateways, 2 powerwalls on each side, and a UWC on each side wired in

One side of the house is more critical and power hungry so plan on backing it up the most but could always plug into the other side if needed in a long outage.

PowerShare makes this truck indispensable. One of my favorite features.
For the price of the PowerShare install I can get a natural gas generator installed that runs for weeks and runs my entire home. Tesla "certified" installers are gouging Tesla customers and making PowerShare not a good value. Tesl;a needs to just let customers buy the PowerShare and let its customers find there own installers

Ug, awesome to see but STILL waiting on that PowerShare software for existing PowerWall/Solar/UWC owners here now over a year. Can't wait as could use the extra capacity for sure.
After almost a year (April 2024 installed)
Our powershare was activated just a few weeks ago. ( we also have Solar)

One benefit of the foundation cyberbeast was the PowerShare install credit that paid for the bulk of my install. I get that this was included in the foundation pricing but sometimes it’s nice not having to think about the cost and just opt into the full experience. PowerShare is part of the full cybertruck experience that if you don’t opt into (or live in an apartment) you are missing out on seeing the full extent of how awesome this truck is.

Is there a premium running this backup vs the gas generator you quoted, probably so. However, when my home has lost power while I’m home the truck kicks right in within a few seconds and it just works. That simplicity is worth the premium in my mind.

Do you have the V3 PowerShare gateway and just solar? Or do you have a V2 gateway, solar, and power walls? Assuming V3 and just solar?

I don't have anything yet, after I bought my truck when buying the $2,500 Universal PowerShare home charger and gateway bundle I was directed to a Tesla certified installer. Their install price was $6K not including the Gateway, making the next price $8,500 plus tax

Let me know how long that generator runs if a landslide or earthquake takes out the natural gas pipeline. Of if there is an attack on the pipeline or the facility that powers the pipeline.

I have a back up 500 gallon propane tank. Filled at a fraction of the cost of a single solar panel
