Tesla light bar not really worth it 🤷🏼‍♂️

Thank you for trying to find it. I really do want to know if that is the case.
Unfortunately a comment from a service manager doesn't hold much weight anymore.... After being told a slat in the tonneau cover couldn't be added, 2 months later that is exactly what they were doing for all the cybertrucks that were short a slat.

My offer still stands that I'm willing to test with a AWD cybertruck whenever I get mine.

I’m sure you know this but once the connector is attached you turn the power on to the roof. Then exit the vehicle and close the door. When you open the door the lightbar software will be installed.

I see the thread seems to have come to a grinding halt.
I apologize if I had anything to do with that.
Had no intention of undermining the “specialness” of the light bar by expressing that I’m interested in having one on my truck even though it’s an AWD.
If you guys do end up doing the experiment of plugging one into an AWD, would love to know what you find.

I was almost at a year of waiting. Seems like they are starting to install more of them now.

There were also rumors that they stopped installs for a while due to a revamp of the lightbar. I did ask the service center but they didn't have a clue about any of it.

Why? You wanna come take ours off the shop truck? I'll make sure we park it inside tonight. ?

Just kidding. Since the idea is that you would only have the light bar up there while actively using the truck, I hope you won't just have it parked somewhere unattended with the light still on. But morals and the fact that, without truck bed access, most humans would need a step-stool to even get up and take it off should also help keep it on your roof. We recommend just popping it off and putting it in the truck bed bracket.

As a FS Beast driver, I would have traded my light bar for basically any other perks Tesla offered.

The police in my area are very strict, I would be nervous driving around without blackout tape over the lights. At that point, why do I even have it?

I recently got the light bar installed, yay!

Overall, for me it’s not worth the ding on range(whatever small amount that is). Don’t get me wrong it’s bright but the high beams on the cybertruck are REALLY GOOD.

I also had mine recently installed. I looked under the pillar and it was already connected. It still won’t come on or update software. Did you have any problems like this?

I had to turn the power feed on the screen. Get out of the truck and shut the door. Then upon opening the door the software was installed. Recently I read someone updated their truck and list the lightbar option.
