So I had this beat up TPE armrest cover which fit beautifully, but was more than a little past its prime. Definitely did its job. Was about to trash it but my inner hoarder took over.
Ordered some cheap self adhesive Alcantara from Amazon.
Was very easy to do and I’m pretty happy with the result. Very comfy.
Mine is not a beast but this is a close match for the beast dashboard.
What do you guys think?

Looks good... I'm gonna try this! On another note what is the tray (between cup holder and armrest)? Seeming holding a vape or soldering Iron or possibly a 3d printer pen. I need one of those!

Glad you asked. That’s one of my favorite Amazon finds. It really doesn’t have much downside and a lot of upside.
the little tray pocket above my wireless tray holds a scalpel, small trim tool, pick, small Phillips, small flathead and nail clippers. All the shit I really like to have on hand but hate looking for.
the tacky cyber logo isn’t even remotely visible btw.

Not a vape in the back rubber holder thingy or a soldering iron btw. Good guesses though. It’s a rotary nail file. Basically a usb-c dremel. I’m a trauma surgeon who likes to get dirty outdoors with my truck so hand hygiene is something I spend some fsd time on.
The tray is all soft silicon like the cup holder insert which feels nice and is pretty gentle on anything you put in there.

Btw, if I was buying a piece of TPE de novo to do this rather than using my old beat up part and being cheap, I’d probably get this.
https://a.co/d/7NkcPTa
I just ordered one for myself so I could have the screen surround piece in the back. Seems like it would make the height more even and the whole center console more continuous to wrap that too. The equivalent carbon fiber pieces are pretty pricey from what I have seen.
Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to make a cutout for that “stuff” traction pad on the fron piece too and I think unless you’re like 6’2” and sit way back, your elbow shouldn’t be anywhere near that.
I do also sometimes put “stuff” there to hand it to my kids in the back.

If the priority is comfort, the embossed tray on that cover doesn't feel good on your arm, it was one of the designs we tested, and rejected.

Pete, since I have you on here, just got these little mudflap deletes in the mail.

They look like nice pieces but as you know my xpel armor fever runs deep and I’d like to cover them to integrate with the rest of the trim and side step.
what are the chances you could help me make those pieces? Is this something you think it’s easier to just try cut by hand?

Yeah, can do. In theory, you'd just need the front rocker section (B), but without the cutout (A), right? Something like this?

We'd be lucky if that turns out to be a perfect fit, so it might need templating, but happy to give it a try and see if we get lucky. We can take this to DM if you want.

??‍♂ I think we can agree there’s just too much going on here! ?
Respectfully, it’s not for you to agree., it’s my truck and doing these mods is my hobby. I enjoy them. And so do my kids who help me do them. Fun to bond over that and it’s also fun for them to show them off to other little friends.
I have no beef with the “nothing but a mounted m16” in a car wrapped like Batman’s tumbler look. If that’s what makes you happy, stick to it.

I’m not commenting on your truck that’s your business. I’m talking about the combination of posts and loosing track of the thread.

You are right to tell anyone who doesn’t like what you’re doing to fuck off. Your truck, your money, your choices! Even if disrespectfully!

Thanks for clarifying. No offense taken. I may have misread you.

Well, I do think you missed firing at the person who was critiquing your truck, I didn’t join that just said what I said. Deflecting. All good.
