Had light bar finally installed yesterday, and when I opened up the RH B Pillar, to my surprise it was already connected! However the light is not appearing in the Outlets & Mods as supposed to, I went ahead and opened up the roof sail on RH side just to make sure they had connected all the wires and they all appear to be connected and wrapped in a black felt tape. Service is saying they can’t help with the connection, so I am super frustrated! Has anyone experienced this before?

I would untape the portion they connected to ensure wires were color matched at the connection point.
Yeah, the newer design is preassembled without soldering, but it gets wrapped in tape so my photo didn't rule out the soldered version.

For anyone believing their issue is anything other than a wire connection issue:
You can also clip a meter onto the wires coming from the vehicle side (observing polarity), then toggle the GUI switch, ensure you see the 48V on the meter. This will at least give you a positive indication that the path is good and thus the issue would be after the splice point.

Find the install instructions. There are additional steps to “activate” the light bar once connected. You have to turn on the power to the roof and do a few additional steps. It is all written up in the install pdf which is posted out here somewhere. I had the same concern after connecting mine which was not connected.

Yeah OP, just cause the connection on the B pillar is done doesn’t mean the one on the rooftop is. Unfortunately, the SC have been ridiculously inconsistent in how they do this. The SOP is supposed to call for you to connect at the B pillar; however, that’s the new SOP. The old SOP was for you to connect the one on the roof under the appliqué. Some service centers are just going ahead and fully connecting it. It’s all over the place!

Do what @mongo said and if that doesn’t look connected, you’ll need to make the connection up there. If it is … head on back to the SC. ?

The inability for them to communicate clearly to their SCs how they want this done, and to have it done consistently is just amateurish and embarrassing.

In fact, everything about this one accessory (rollout, installation, design, customer experience) is highlighting massive misalignment within Tesla.
