What do you do if you have a flat tire

New Cybertruck owner of only a week. I hadn't really thought about this until I picked up the Cybertruck and noticed there is no spare.
It's not like you can carry a donut . What does one do if you have a flat? Will AAA do anything? Would you have to get a tow?

Tesla roadside includes free towing to a SC. My one flat tire experience was a blown sidewall on my M3P, so they obviously couldn’t plug it and I had to eat the cost of a new tire. This was during business hours and in an area where a SC was nearby, so take my experience for what it’s worth to you.

Odd timing of a post…this just happened 20 minutes ago:

Completely flat in about 20 seconds, just enough time to pull over. My solution is a patch kit and carry a compressor, back on the move 10 minutes later. I do carry a sidewall patch kit too, but have only ever had to repair punctures. I’ll carry a full size spare on off-roading trips, but often leave it behind if I’m sticking to populated areas.

A patch kit & a compressor since 2015. I was able to temp patch even bad leaks to get home instead of waiting hours for a tow, most punctures repaired on the spot

Patch kit and compressor 100% is the solution. And you don’t have to have a monster air compressor. $30 air compressor from Amazon is fine to get you back on the road.

Correct.

Most all normal vehicles don’t have a spare, most only small doughnut.

Most all (trucks) come with decent full size spare. Do not believe Tesla follows this 100 year trend*.

*1925 Model T

So if you did not get another full size tire and rim offline ( and Tesla pucks, full size floor jack, parked on level surface, etc).

Then call a flatbed wrecker service.

Seriously- get a spare. What is wrong with that? Put it in the bed or hang it from the hitch.

I have a patch kit as well for my Model 3 but have always taken the whole wheel off to do the repair. Are you able to raise the suspension all the way and do the repair without taking the wheel off or do you carry a jack as well? I was thinking the CT was too heavy and too tall to jack on the side of the road.

I bought the “winter tire” package with my $2500 voucher. I keep a spare strapped down in the bed. If I didn’t buy a complete 2nd set of rim/tires I’d be buying a 2nd hand spare rim/tire. Should be able to find on for under $400.

I ordered to tire repair kit and air pump 2 months ago. Just arrive today! Fits in the den of thieves well!

BTW, I’ve used Tesla roadside service …twice. I then bought AAA for $300 for entire family and 6 cars - Platinum level with 200 mile towing for next time. Tesla roadside works but you are just a number on the side of the road. They said my daughter and I had to get an uber in rural Tennessee when stuck at a highway rest area- there was no Uber but Tesla wouldn’t cover the tow guy driving us.
