To egress from a modern vehicle, you need a hammer with pointed tip, and a folding saw to cut through the plastic layers.

I would think that if you could fracture both the inner and outer layers of glass, the window could be folded over.

Yep! Most people should be able to muster the strength to do it, but you have to punch a lot of spots to get there.
