Force your neighbor to buy CT. Then tell your wife every day how beautiful your neighbor's CT looks from the window. Once she is convinced, go ahead buy one. Who said that it was an easy task!!

Bought one recently and wife test drove it and loved it, but absolutely hates the look of it. She still calls it ugly and craps on it when talking about it to others. However she drives it and loves the FSD, comfortable ride, and ease of use.
I got lifetime free charge in the foundation series so between that and other house backup, running 240, charging other electric car, etc… I had a compelling case but she still thinks it’s ugly.

I Turo’d one for the weekend and took the family on a little getaway. Once you experience what a GREAT family car it is, it sells itself.
That will also give her time to experience it without the pressure of a test drive.
Try to plan a weekend that plays up its strengths. Very light (not scary)off-roading, some scenery and at least one bulky shopping excursion. Some short but noticeable element of annoying driving that be handled by FSD. Maybe carry along some harder to transport adventure gear like bikes if she’s into that. If you have kids make sure they are picked up from school or camp in it at least once by her so she can experience the truck being idolized by little people.
The key is let her drive it but don’t sell it. Don’t ask her opinion about it during the weekend AT ALL unless she volunteers it. That’s for the week after when the car is already returned and she misses it. ?
Good luck.

My advice would be to never settle your goals down for someone’s opinion, if you want the truck get it, she’s just a wife your an individual with your own damn wants and needs. Too many people are lost in life trying to please others please yourself yolo

Glad I’m not married, that’s all I can say. I buy what I want with the money I earn and don’t need someone else’s permission to spend it.

It was the opposite situation for us. My wife was the one pushing hard to just finalize the purchase of an inventory awd we demo drove for a weekend . She actually didn’t care for it much prior to the demo . After the demo weekend she “had to have it” at any cost . I was the one suggesting we hold out for better Tesla incentives lol. No regrets. Just look at real statistics for owner satisfaction.

My wife thought they were ugly but when we walked into the service and they had one with the cyber tent set up on one, she was sold

As a married person, I can tell you that it's never about permission, it's just selling someone on something so they're happy. You put in effort so they feel loved and it goes both ways.

It's very much the basics of any relationship.

You just gotta get pumped on it and talk about it everyday, she'll want you to get your dreams.
- rear doors open 90 degrees- great for loading carseats/hauling stuff
- easy to transport bikes/potting soil/[insert her hobby here]
- electric, always full of charge
- drives itself! you can be the driver on all the roadtrips
- easy to clean and maintain
- low center of gravity means very hard to flip
- super safe
- customizable via wraps if she doesn't like the color
- hands down best tesla
- steer by wire/48v/4 wheel steering- aka nerdiest car ever!
- honestly it's a lot cheaper than other off-roading cars in the same league. the amount of mods people do to jeeps and 4runners to get close to the CT is $$$$
- heated and cooled seats
- heated steering wheel
- cup holders AND big bottle holders
- lots of storage in cabin
- auto set profiles if she wants to drive

Depends on your wife and situation though.
