Excited to share that I'll be picking up my AWD Foundation Series on June 23rd, after the cantrails are replaced! I've seen various delivery checklists, which I plan to review thoroughly after taking delivery. For Sentry Mode, dashcam, and custom light/sound shows, I've got a SanDisk hard drive from Costco (https://www.costco.com/sandisk-extreme-go-portable-ssd-2tb.product.4000279578.html), and I've already found a helpful guide on formatting it.

One of the most common complaints I've seen in reviews is regarding the rear-view mirror's limited utility. I'm curious if anyone has experimented with an Android-based or Android Auto rear-view mirror paired with a wireless rear-view camera to avoid the hassle of running a wire. While I'm comfortable with car modifications and happy to run the wire if it's the best solution, I'd ideally prefer to avoid manipulating a brand new vehicle.

On a related note, I'm also interested if anyone else has other recommendations for what to do prior to taking delivery or shortly after. Any tips or 'must-dos' would be greatly appreciated!

- check the trim and lining in the interior. You might see uneven things or cuts.
- check the last exposed part of the tonneau when the tonneau is fully closed. You may see holes, which you should ask if they can add another slab in there to prevent water leakage.
- check frunk alignment/gaps.

Just a few things. Doesn’t affect how amazing this truck is still!

I wouldn’t waste the money on a digital rear view mirror. I removed the mirror (mounted radar there). You quickly get used to look at top of screen rear view mirror.
I second ditching the mirror . It’s pointless as is when cover is closed. Tesla also made it easy to run a rear view mirror delete. That tab after the mirror is removed can be pushed in and it’s way cleaner. The mirror on screen becomes natural after a while. The third party ones are bulky require additional cameras. Only benefit it your digital camera is pointless when bed is down but most pickup trucks cameras behave in this manner.
I say run a mirror delete try to use the on screen and see if you can get use to it.

Agree. Learn to use the truck as it’s designed to be used, avoid the temptation to apply bandaids to make it more like something your daddy drove.

one hint. the rear-view mirror can be moved to the right above the map. its bigger there and directly below where the mirror would be. also use the pinch maneuver to go to 1.25x. i also have a radar detector where the mirror was. not easy to find 12v in the camera bay, but i managed.

Most of the digital rearview mirrors on the market are pretty inexpensive. The problem is running the video cable to the new mirror/display. The OP specifically asked about wireless camera systems so it would make more sense to say that you don’t have any information on those (like me) than to challenge their desire to have a rearview display.
