I guess I could take my CB out of beast mode and maybe that would tell me something/be more comparable to the AWD, but ?
—that’s not gonna happen!
That would be heresy and you’d be haunted by the ghost of Cerberus til the end of your days! Don’t do it, Dalton, we need you.

Lady’s and gentlemen let’s keep this post going. I decided to take the beast and I will be adding updates on here.
NICE. Impossible to regret a beast unless, like, it makes you give up your house or something for it. Even then…

Like you, I had been going back and forth for months about what to get. In the end I couldn’t resist getting the Beast.

Took delivery of my Beast on Saturday and haven’t stopped smiling since!

Tell me about it I have over 1000 miles in it in like 2 weeks l. I can’t believe I even asked the question on what the differences are because the beast is something else next level.
I have been driving it in chill mode and I’ll tell you that didn’t last long I had to go back in beast mode because I mean just because it’s to big of a difference.

I hardly ever take it out of Beast mode. As soon as I do, a hot ICE car will pull up next to me and I don't like fumbling around to switch it to Beast mode so I can blow his doors off!

The plaid specs seem similar, but it’s not even in the same league. The difference between 1.99 and 2.6 seconds is surprisingly large.
This is why I recently bought and AWD, I just couldn’t justify paying an extra 35k for the beast. If I want to scratch my speed itch I have a 2023 S Plaid I can hop in.

Two 2024 Foundation Series Cyberbeasts and one Foundation Series AWD, guess which one gets the least amount of Seat time? There are two kinds of Cybertruck owners, ones that wish they had a Cyberbeast, and ones that do! Glad you made your decision!

7000 miles later and the beast mode is always on because why not…
And btw big difference between the awd and the beast. I want to thank everyone out here that had the beast and commented on this thread.
The cyber beast it is better than the awd
It is faster
It is more expensive
And it is worth it
Every penny

Pros:
AWD: Better off-road, better daily driving, no front slips, less maintenance long-term, no issues with any of the motors (now)

Beast: Fast as hell boiiii, hmm...

I traded my beast in for an Inventoried FS AWD and glad I did (saved over 40k with dep and FSD, etc). I plan on keeping my truck though, so if you don't plan on keeping it long-term go Beast.

What do you mean by no front slips and better daily driving? I have an AWD and almost no experience with the beast.

Cyberbeasts still have the issue with the front axle skipping due to front wheel drive bias in normal situations. I experience it at minimum once a day. Still jarring and annoying and I can’t count for people who claim they’ve never experienced it in their cyber beast. Maybe they’re not driving in beast mode— I don’t know, but, it’s real and it’s not great and Tesla should fix it.

As far as better daily driving? I can’t speak for them, but my experience with having an AWD loaner was generally a more compliant ride and smoother overall acceleration. It just feels more refined, but I don’t think anybody should be buying a car referred to as a “beast” and expecting it to ride like a Bentley.

That said, the car is very smooth compared to other rides (maybe even Bentley ask when it’s not doing that front axle skip thing or rearranging your kidneys due to massive acceleration) but compared to the softer cybertruck (AWD), it’s rough.

This should be expected it’s the sports car version and if you’re driving around in beast mode it’s going to feel sportier which can easily just be translated to “rougher.” [Again, distinguish this from the front axle skip which is jarring, bad and not something that you’d expect from a truck this expensive and it’s a stain on otherwise exemplary ride/handling experience.]

I have no idea what it’s like in chill mode or something else because I only drive it in beast mode because - duh! - that’s what I bought it for!

I think the AWD has all of the benefits of the engineering that went into the driving/suspension superlatives of the CT without the rough edges introduced by the CB.
