…Covered under service warranty. I had this problem, had Tesla service correct it. I never get a drop of water in now.
Do you have a final summary of what they did you could share? What service center?

They replace the wiper motor. I had it done…but if you have it done, make sure they do it correctly and set the wiper ’home’position correctly. They didn’t do that on mine which resulted in the motor getting stripped about 2 months later during a nor’easter rainstorm. My wiper got stuck in the modeler of my windshield while I was drying home on the highway.

You can search my posts as I shared it in more detail.
Why did they replace the motor? They have replace my arm several times for streaking.

There was a revised motor, and they did it when I put in my service appointment that the wiper doesn’t clear salt slush. I mainly did it so they had more data about the issue and didn’t expect them to do anything.

How is it better? Wondering if I need to push.

I referenced the correction code in the previous post and asked for that work to be preformed in the service request. They added a slat which extended the length of the cover hiding the water management track (or possibly removing it), which by design has holes in it that allow water into the bed (see photo in previous post). There is a reference to this in the service manual and a link to that is in the previous post. It also appears that the seal against the tailgate seals with a little more pressure. They applied grease (what I’m guessing is white lithium grease) to the top of the track where it turns to come down in front of the window. It also runs quieter. It was done at the Bernalillo, NM center.

Just took delivery of a 75k range VIN Cyberbeast. It has a build date of 06/2005. It still leaks just like the first Foundation series truck I had (6k VIN AWD). Water management channel is still exposed and will require a service visit, but I am fairly confident most water intrusion is through the seal between the appliqué and the roof glass. I laid a silicone caulk bead between the two on my last truck and it stopped the leaking completely. Also easy to remove the caulk if you ever desire.

They call it a vault not because it’s waterproof but because it locks.
You must not own a CT
I have found these two Service Center changes for the applique and tonneau cover. I am not sure what all the first one does, but it looks like a new applique and some parts.

Tonneau Applique (Remove and Install)

Slat System - Tonneau (Rework)

For the first time ever I went through a HIGH pressure car wash and I found a couple of drops toward front middle and just a little water in the back. I have attached photos just after I got home. Typically, there is a stream leftover. My service Center may have come through finally. I have not removed and reinstalled the applique yet to see if it stays dry, but wow this 100% better than even day one. I guess we will see on the next storm and when I have to take off the applique and put it back on. Based on what I am seeing no one should settle. No water on my back window for the first time. What you see on the back window are droplet stains from prior to the latest fix. Time to clean my window and see.

Anyone have any info on what the appliqué procedure is? My slat rework didn’t fix leaking for me

Here are the details from my latest service center visit. This is after they did the slat and some sort of butyl tape I insisted they remove. It appears to get just a minor few drops in the back, which weird but acceptable. If the water comes back I will probably go the route of the Amazon fix I previously posted.

"2024 CYBERTRUCK United States Job Number Description Of Work Amount (USD) 1 Concern: Customer states: Exterior Trim - Applique appears to be stuck or glued since the last service on it. I pulled the screws and lifted it out of the latching mechanisms on both sides, but the applique will not detach and I am afraid that pulling hard will dislodge the seal that it is likely adhered to. The seal that I can see is a bit irregular as well. Also, I am still getting water on the back window. Repair Notes: Customer has informed us that they regularly remove the tonneau cover applique when loading their ATV in the truck bed. due to the previous water mitigation fix done to the vehicle, the customer was not able to easily remove the applique. As per the customers request, the previous water mitigation fix was removed and cleaned. The factory seal was installed between the roof glass and body where the applique seal sits when installed correctly. The tonneau cover applique was also replaced with the latest revision as a precautionary measure incase the seal was compromised on the old applique. Water tested the new foam seal/tonneau applique, verified no water was present on the back window at the time of testing. Only a small portion of water was visible coming from both front corners of the sail panels. After water testing, verified it is water present is within expectation of the rear truck bed as it is not intended to be a water tight area. The customers aftermarket truck bed cover also does not have drain areas in the front section which can allow water to pool up instead of able to be drained around the various points in the truck bed. Due to the customer regularly removing the tonneau cover applique, this can affect the seal against the outside elements and can cause water ingress to increase over time. Confirmed current repairs are up to OEM standard and cannot be progressed any further. Aftermarket options may exist, but cannot be endorsed by Tesla. Correction: Adjustment: Exterior Trim Correction: General Diagnosis Correction: Tonneau Applique - Remove and Replace Parts Replaced or Added

Yep, I’ve had the same issue with water getting in through the back corners, seems like a common problem. Tesla service said it’s “within spec,” but it’s still annoying. I added some extra seals from am auto parts and it helped a lot.

So far two storms and one very high pressure car wash and I see no water even in the corners. I suspect if there were water in the corners it would be the foam seal along the side of the applique not properly mounted as seen in the one Amazon seal replacement. I am not touching mine for now and will bring updates back to this thread.
