Site your sources. So far, all I've read is a lot of hearsay. Lane assist is not FSD.

Are you referring to Toyota Safety Sense? Or something else?

Looks like 3 years ago it was on par with enhanced autopilot. Has it progressed? I don’t see any recent news on it.

Oh good grief. Toyota has a piss-poor system which attempts to "lane keep assist" and in multiple Toyota vehicles I've driven will put the vehicle on a trajectory to fail to negotiate a basic, smooth, well marked highway curve and drive off the highway into a dirt field, resulting in a catastrophic crash at rural highway speeds (aka 40-65 mph).

Toyota "lane keep assist" and "adaptive cruise control" which slows/stops, but if stops will not automatically resume locomotion is nothing like Tesla FSD.

I can't believe I'm responding to these ideas...

Whine and cry all you want about the nags but the court has ruled partially against Tesla for NOT providing enough nags. This precedence will now drive any and all non L3 systems to provide further user input/nags and has some deep reaching impact to every single manufacturer going forward. Every review that I have scoured over only rated Toyota's HIGHWAY/INTERSTATE only autonomous feature better in the monitoring department and NOT the actual driving portion.

What exactly are you doing in the driver seat when you are are being nagged currently? I cannot recall an instances in the past 6 months or greater when I got a nag when not paying attention.

I read it as:

Far less naggy = FSD is progressing at a rate of safety that Tesla as a corporation has determined that we can be less aggressive and allow you more time to not pay attention to the road before providing a warning. This means you no longer have to ruin you entire day and glance back at the road or temporarily remove and obstructions in your face for a couple of seconds.
