Anybody else experiencing this? Before the latest update, the charge cable was taught and charger handle was pulling sideways and not straight in the truck

I tend to back up to where my wife yells.. You're gonna knock it over.. She is very consistent and its just the right distance from the charge station.

I had a friend say theirs backed right up and they could plug it in. This was a few weeks ago. I tried it, but it was still a foot off and had to manually back closer. Ended up getting a wall connector in that time frame so haven't had many opportunities to try it again.

I have used the automatic parking only a few times since they enabled it and I have been fairly underwhelmed by its performance.

Am I in the minority who think this vehicle is hilariously easy to park manually?

Watching my wife try to park the truck made me laugh so hard that she wouldn't talk to me for an hour :ROFLMAO: To be fair, she's absolute garbage at parking her Y as well.

The automatic parking is too slow for me to use. It's easy enough to get it in just about any spot.

What I don't understand about Autopark is the constant repositioning, since the task is completely deterministic. The lines don't move, the parked cars don't move, only the truck is moving.

The computer should be able to swoop into a parking space at 55mph lol

The Cybertruck is highly maneuverable, particularly for its size.

My problem is my estimation of the position in space, particularly the corners. In some camera views, I clearly have room, while in others it looks like I've already hit the other car lol. So I take it slow, I'd hate to crunch somebody's pride and joy.

The "virtual overhead" view helps, but it's imprecise.

I do miss the stitched camera view I had in some previous cars (like my Volvo) but I understand why they don't have it in the Teslas (licensing)

The virtual overhead is great in parking lots with the lines to know when your front or rear has entered or left a space.

No, you're not going mad. This truck is the absolute easiest and quickest to maneuver in the history of mass produced vehicles.

I will say as far as maneuverability:mass, I'd agree.. but my Volvo XC60 T8 was so easy to park that I never had to look away from the screen and it was parked perfectly every time. It was like having a 'cheat code' for the parking lot.

I agree about the corners. Backing straight in with the camera is sooo easy. But, backing in on a diagonal, and those corners tend to freak me out. I'm extremely careful on the corners.

This.

The front bumper camera, being offset from center, seems to mess me up all the time and it really most useful in the garage to show me when I'm tight to the stuff up front. It's essentially useless to indicate whether a front corner is going to clear the adjacent car when you're turning into a stall... which is what it is needed for.

I don't know why, but when I park by eye only in an empty lot, I'm always tighter to the line on the right than the left. Which is strange, because I always find that I typically give more space than I think I'm giving on that side in every other vehicle I drive.
