What do you all do with the t-slot style bars? Anything you’d consider a must have? Any aero-friendly containers? Boat mounts? Bike mounts? Ladder stops? Molle panels? Tie down hooks?
Share some pictures and tips please if you have them.
I have a new set of these oem bars and curious what sort of things are possible.
Also, where do you mount yours and why? Positions 1 and 2, 2 and 3 or 3 and 4? (I guess 1 and 4 is also possible)

Have the RPM crossbars and Yakima bike rack!

Whoa. That’s extremely cool. Is it hard to get up there and do you think it will support something as heavy as an e-bike?

it’s easy on entry level. I imagine an e-bike is a little heavier though

If I had them mounted at 1 and 2, I could roll it up the closed tonneau.
So ramp (which I have) , then lift to tonneau, then lift to rack maybe? Can’t imagine it’s safe to stand on the glass while securing but I could stand on the crossbar at position 2 I guess.
I also have a hitchmount rack we use on the model x which might be a hair easier though.

I see Yakima has a fair amount of T slot stuff in general. Is it all directly mountable to our crossbars?

Had a similar setup x4 on Dodge Dakota, Ram 1500 and the Dearly Departed Ram 2500. Once I got the boss an e-bike, switched from straight from the side lift to a) lean bike against open tailgate, b) climb tailgate, c) lift bike, d) rack bike. Less likely to have an Unplanned Energetic Embarrassing Event (UEEE). The setup worked best on the much shorter Dak.

Haven't figured out my bike rack setup for the relatively new CT yet. That's why I'm here ...

Yakima has been less-than-impressive in providing Landing Pads for my currently owned crossbars. The 4 Yakima Frontloaders would work on Tesla OEM bars as seen above. But the OEM bars at $1600 for 4 seem over-priced. I'll probably end up with a spreadsheet to figure this out.

FWIW I currently have a kuat hitch rack that works very well, I’m just looking at things I might be able to do with my new oem crossbars.

I've got an older Thule 4-place hitch rack. Works well ... never liked the way the vehicle handled with that hanging off of it - even when the vehicle was a GMC Suburban. Though the Suburban only tipped the scale at 4825 versus the CT at 6800. Probably should have tried it on the 2500 at 7400 lbs. Now the camera issues make hitch racks a non-starter for me. I should probably sell the thule rack as I cannot see me using it.

4 bikes racked across the back of a truck bed is pretty cool. I was looking through my photos for a shot of that.
