I did. It’s surprisingly satisfying to mess with while in FSD.probably good for about a week worth of entertainment and laughs.

So does this thing have any feedback when you "Shift" or is it just a piece of plastic? like a satisfying click into gear and does it have left and right resistance so you can rock it back and forth? I used to do that all the time in my manuals. They need to make a dummy clutch pedal combo kit.

You could train a fighter pilot on that thing, really would be a great skill and imagination builder.

yeah. The inside has a little mechanism. It obviously doesn’t feel like a Ferrari gated shifter but “clicks” into each position.

Looking at that makes me realize how much I miss a manual transmission. I don't think I've shifted one in a decade now...

I miss it, but I also don't. 🤷‍♂️
Manuals belong in Toyota Tacomas and sports cars and to heck with paddle shifters. Now I’m having a flash back 1970 Dodge Challenger with pistol grip shifter! Sigh

Looks like a Tesla toaster, what is it?
It's a Star Trek toy from the 70's. I had one as a child, and it lived in my parents' attic for many years.

I prefer the basement attics are too hot
I can’t believe I did not recognize it because I saw every Star Trek episode, but I’ve never saw that toy

You are morally obligated to make engine fart noises when wildly shifting those gears, by the way...
