What did you say to get them to add padding and what exactly did they do? Did it make a difference?
Well it got noticeably worse. I also went to a different SC.

I havent taken it apart but the service notes say the vibrating was because of the trim touching the subwoofer during operation at 40hz. They added “NVH foam” and “adjusted the interior trim”. Its better, but you can tell its still just not great, let alone “sublime”. If i have my bass or sub up over 4 its way more noticeable.

But, BOSE is very much against what you like. No highs, no lows, must be BOSE. Bose is all about midrange and midbass. Their system tends to be that way...so BOSE generally gives a good first impression because most folks prefer hearing vocals and good mid-bass. And their equalization tends to tame the frequencies quite a bit at high volume to prevent blowing out their cheap cones.
All right— you’ve just outed yourself as a real actual audiophile!!! You’re only pretending to be a “pretend one!”

So, now that we’ve pulled your mask off, what are your thoughts on CT v. S/X (‘21+), Shifu?

I prefer CT over X. My preference. And I listened to both with FLAT settings and surround per factory. (I generally do not go far from factory settings.) But they were close with my brief listening once in each. So, take my take with big grain of salt. (And I admit my [maybe] bias being on this forum dreaming of one day owning a CT.)

BUT, BOTH systems makes my Ford F150 B&O Unleashed sound like Walmart Great Value speakers. :D

Interested to know what your test tracks are? Don’t try to act like you don’t have them.

These are mine:

Ship of Fools, Robert Plant:

Soundcheck, Arabian Prince:

Bubbles; Yosi Horikswa

I also like Brothers in Arms; Dire Straits for this purpose.

To be honest, I use Apple Music for the songs that I like, which will be what I listen to the most in the future. No specific test track.

All right fine, you’re demoted to “pretend audiophile.” Happy?!

Totally makes sense but I was curious as to what the most common track used for this purpose by audio files is and it looks like @CyberGus intuitively understood that it would have to be Steely Dan. And in fact “Aja” seems to be the number one.

For me, various pop songs, Yanni, ABBA, etc. Like I said, I am not an audiophile. :D

In my opinion, the 24-25 premium sound system in the model 3 is vastly better than the cybertruck's as well.

Tesla gave me a model X plaid today as a loaner. The sound system in the model X plaid is superior in every way to the cyber truck. I could not believe how good it was. Anyone else agree with this?
I have a 2022 Model X and have found the sound system in my Cybertruck is much better than the Model X. I have to say the Cybertruck is quieter inside than the Model X
