Interesting they said the front drive unit even though yours is an AWD, correct? Looking forward to hearing if replacing solves the problem!
Well, was supposed to get back today. They called, said they ran into an "issue" lol. I'm awaiting advisors text/callback to let me know what the "issue" was. Now scheduled for Thursday. lol

I got it back today. Sort of fixed, but vibration persists. It’s probably 10% better. They replaced front motor, said it’s basically so similar to many other trucks that this is the best for right now. “Within spec” basically lol.

I mean if it's 10% better it's not fixed. Still the same vibrate?

I'll recant my statement, it's definitely not fixed. Now instead of me reproducing at 47 mph every time, I can easily reproduce at 45 mph and it regen vibrates the same. Somewhat long story short, advisor said that at this point, they're aware of older vins doing this, they have some new dampening in the works (supposedly, I don't buy it) to help dampen resonance we're getting. So I asked, "So if I'm not satisfied as I drive off and it's still there, do I just bring it back? He said, no, at this time, it's behaving like others we've verified and we've had 3 separate techs and managers ride in yours and they agree, no update to do at this time."

So, nothing I can do at this point except accept the vibration and see what happens in the future. Hate to have to visit service every 6 months.

Very frustrating. After my first visit for the issue I was very annoyed they didn't even attempt to fix and just said since it wasn't causing issues they would leave it for now. Interestingly in the winter (I'm in Minneosta) the vibration completely went away. Now that it's warming up it back again. Went to a different SC about a month ago for a tire rotation and the guys working were completely different. The main guy noted the issue again in my profile and advised me to bring it back again once it's reliably warm. I think which SC you go to is really important. I'll probably bring mine in again in like a month or so and keep you posted. Seems like it's becoming increasingly clear CB requires a front drive unit replacement while AWD requires a rear replacement.
At some point I need to go through this thread and document the vehicle and how each got fixed.

Very frustrating for sure. I'm going to run it a little today as we can still share feedback and service messages for 24 hours in app. Gonna let them know it's still the same.
But yeah, I'd be super interested in your findings when you go in. If it's the rear, which seems likely, I might see about going to a different service center.

Also, here are their notes.
I also added my service replies to the app, said "Like you said,it's still easy to reproduce at 45 and 47 and you mentioned your service center won't review it anymore right? I'll monitor and if issue arises, is it fine to take to another service center?" LOL. I know I can, just wanted to see if they feel any urgency to a long term repeat customer.

And, to top it off, it's developed a new whistle sound at 75 mph that my passengers can hear also. Tesla service this morning, before I replied I about the new 75 mph, said "you'd likely need to bring this concern up again in the future so we can see if the bulletin is active".
I replied, "I'll run it a little bit but goal for this visit was to bring it home same or better, not worse. Now, with the whistle, i've got more sounds than what I came in with. I'll see how long I can tolerate it, else I'll have to bring in".

I'm sorry to see that you're still having issues. I imagine they replaced the incorrect motor. For AWD, it should be the rear motor, which has the permanent magnet. I would continue to complain and perhaps take it to a different service center, if one is available in your area.

I wonder how I can demonstrate that it's the rear motor? Or how to request them to check rear?

And Tesla replied to chat, and they said they did, in fact, check both rear and front and only front didn't pass spec which led them to only replace front.

Someone needs to go through this thread, and the one or two similar older threads. Then make a spreadsheet with AWD and CB demonstrating which motor replacement solved the issue. I think this would be compelling.

Did you happen to have the service notes that shows them referencing the rear motor so I can paste that into my service chats?
i had the front and rear motors replaced around 12k miles for this issue. Fix lasted for 10k miles or so and is now back…so I’m resigned to it being a thing that I deal with.
