Both drive units replaced…vibration is gone. I would have thought it was coming from the front motor but in the notes they say rear motor louder than spec also

I’m the OP. That’s good to know. Mine going in for service this week, so I’ll add this to list now. Sounds like they might have figured it out!

Good to know! Thanks for the update! How long did the replacement take?

It took nearly a week, but part of that was because their drive unit lift device broke so they had to get one from another location.

Happy for you problem resolved. I am going get mine in after Xmas. I was wondering if there is complete failure with this as I have to drive some distance to the service centre .

Well I drove with it for about a month or more and no issues. It didn’t seem to get any worse for me. I’m more concerned that something will go wrong now that they did such extensive surgery on my car haha

I was looking at the manual for replacing the motors . pages and pages and pages Would have been easier to just give you a new truck.

This is my worry as well. Unfortunately seems unavoidable.

And as of today, Jan 26, still smooth and no vibrations? They replaced my front motor for a flutter sound but I have the vibration on regen slowdown so thinking the rear like yours.

It was very subtle, only a cybertruck regular could notice it

Hmm, maybe I’ll keep my Feb 25 appt, which was for an alert I got, hvbatt_a294 and physical key cards don’t work. No one’s physical keys seem to work, but I’ve always used phone for four years of Model 3 ownership. Was gonna skip the appt as those don’t seem major apparently but a vibration, if they would fix that, might be worth it.
