Council Bluffs, Iowa unable to accept Cybertruck deliveries at this time

RN11288, Reserved 12/22/19, Order placed: 2/25/24. I had received a text to renew my trade in vehicle quote. This morning I texted that same number and asked when I might expect my Vin. He replied promptly that at this time the Council Bluffs building is unable to accommodate delivery of new Cybertrucks and he offered to transfer my delivery to Kansas City as a quicker option. 6 hour drive but of course I accepted. I asked if Council Bluffs would be able to service them in the future and he assured me they would be able to. I'm sharing this in case there are others in the Midwest that might benefit from changing delivery location.

Update: Received my VIN today. Delivery was switched to KC as they stated they would. Waiting on my MVPA to complete the process. No idea how long that takes. State Farm upped my insurance by 40% for the cybertruck.

Wow, I had no idea that was a possibility. My order was placed Dec 16th 2023 and have RN112750818. I've been waiting and wondering when Council Bluffs would deliver one. I sent a text as well, lets see if this works out and they switch mine to KC as well.

Got the call Saturday morning that I needed to be KC by 4pm to get my FS Awd Cybertruck. I have to say, there were 2 Tesla people and the banker that bent over backwards to get this done for me before the loan quote expired. Found out Friday part of the MVPA delay was because the State of Iowa failed to remove my trade-in lean information when I paid it off in Jan. That KC delivery center was chaotic though. Reminded me of an Apple store in a big mall when a new phone is released. Instead of laying people off they need to hire a few more. People were buying Tesla's left and right. It was an entirely different experience if you're not familiar with how Tesla does stuff.

Great stuff thanks for the update, when Tesla moves they move fast it seems! I wanted to share an update on my situation. I wasn't able to get anywhere with texting to get my reservation moved from Council Bluffs to KC. However my wife has had her eye on a model x for a while, so we scheduled a test drive with the council bluffs location.

The model x was amazing and we certainly want to get one of those as well, however the best part was after the drive we went into the office to chat about my cybertruck the staff was super helpful and knew exactly the issue. Essentially the Council Bluffs location won't be doing any deliveries until they are in their new location over by the Mid-America center. The service advisor who can switch the location was out for lunch, but they promised me they would talk to him when he got back and get my moved to KC. We left and about an hour later I checked the app and it showed my location as Kansas City.

Saturday morning I get a text from Tesla that there are new things to do in the app and boom I've got a VIN and needed to accept that FSD isn't ready to go yet but will be when a software update in the future enables it.

For what it's worth United States Senate Federal Credit Union was really easy to join (did that a few months ago). I put in my loan application on Saturday, got a call later that day to confirm some info and just got approved today, for the loan at 4.74% for 36 months. Hopefully I can get my truck in the next couple weeks! Thanks again for the tip on getting it moved to KC.

Crazy: Set up a fake service appt with the Council Bluffs, IA service center and put in the notes I wanted to switch to KC delivery. They texted back and handled it for me. Had a VIN in 20 minutes.

Also in Omaha. Had my location changed Friday morning, and had a VIN within an hour. I couldn’t believe it. You all must have shared this with the PowerShare guy, as he told me last wednesday that one of his other customers did this.

I walked into the CB office and they had no problem switching. I ordered on March 13th Duel Motor.
