Did I miss the super horn update?

I bought a 2024 cybertruck in May 2025, previous to my purchase it had sat at various dealers since June 2024. During the horn update notification in November, the message must have been ignored. How can I get the new horn sound? I’ve tried messaging service, but they seem to have no clue what I’m talking about.

If the truck had previous owners would other peoples communication populate to the new owner’s app? I doubt it because of different emails. I could be wrong.

my Truck was delivered in Dec 24, so I do not have any Nov 24 messages! Do you know any other way To get this download?

On your app click service then service request, software, software update, then ask for all missing software updates. Then you should be good to go.

Two choices, sound like a Honda Civic, or sound like a Fire Truck. I think it's a no brainer. It was a one time, irreversible, OTA update. Mabe Ashok can help you with that.

I personally prefer for the CT to sound like a fire truck.

My only concern is how recognizable is the fire truck sound especially traveling at speed when there are multiple environmental sounds on the road. The sound from a real horn component, while not the best sound, is easily recognizable at far distances (perhaps due to horn's frequency?). Because the fire truck sound is created from a speaker and not a horn component, plus since it's not what drivers typically expect, does it properly alert other drivers on the road as a horn should do. Also, how well does the fire truck sound travel in various distances and environments.

A search on this forum had a user replace their VIN and RN # in this link for it to work. You might have to ask what your RN # is for your VIN.

Since the fire truck sound is irreversible, it might be good to not install it. Your OG CT will be rarer than other ‘24s because it has the original horn. In 25 years that could be a premium feature that nobody else has.
