What’s different on the v3 from the v2?

Here's a picture of the V2 that I just installed last night. Looking forward to the improvements in V3, as the bracket on V2 puts a little too much pressure on the plug that goes into back of the screen. Otherwise, it's a solid improvement over V1.

So I contacted Tesstudio about a free exchange for my unopened V2 product. It turns out "Free" is not really "Free". Here is the reply:

Thank you for contacting us.
We understand your concerns about installation. The V2 and V3 differ only in the design of the bracket; the installation method is essentially the same.
If you wish to return the product for an exchange, you will be required to pay the $15 difference in product price, return shipping, and reshipment shipping.

OMG, this is complete bullshit already... Tesstudio, please publicly address this and let us know how you are going to be fixing this for customers that you sold a not quite up to par product or be prepared to be shredded like wheat. Keep in mind, I altered my bracket myself, you know, the one your V3 is based on (without royalties might I add), so I have no skin in this game.

But I know someone who does, so ignoring this message is not an option.

Some salt to the wound, version 2 is being sold at $190. That price is still ridiculous, considering it has already been discovered to be a defective product to the extent that it required redesigning.

Anyone that buys v2 is going to have to either have to find a way/pay someone to modify it, return it because they're not confident in altering the product, or potentially damage their plug. Advertising it as a "more easy install" insinuates that v2 is easy to install and doesn't fix the fact that those that are stuck with v2 may not be able to install it at all due to skill. That should be sold at a heavy discount, or at the very least advertise that you may need to make modifications.

Yeah that price is crazy, especially when it requires such heavy modification. If the product didnt require lots of grinding, as they claim with the new, new version then the install wouldnt be that bad.

I am waiting for them to respond and see if they make it right to their OWN claim that people who had a non-used one can simply swap it out for free. I feel that even people who used it and are uncomfortable with it possibly breaking their screen should be able to get a free swap too, but at the very least they should honor their own words.
