Not sure if this posted. Looks like they have an attachment or will replace the light bar for free.

Tesla recalls nearly 6,200 Cybertrucks in US due to off-road light bar issue, NHTSA says
Oct 30 (Reuters) - Tesla is recalling 6,197 Cybertrucks in the United States because a detached light bar could fall and pose a road hazard to other vehicles, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Thursday.
Tesla will either install an additional mechanical attachment or replace the light bar for free, NHTSA said.

Since these were only offered on Foundation Series Cyberbeasts, I think we finally have our total FS/CB production number! Should be very close to 6200!!!! That’s more than I thought.

Much like my cantrails, I don’t want them fiddling around with my light bar unless I need it. And mine seems to be solid as a rock now. Importantly, if they want to attach something to the first position on the roof rack, I’ve already got a very heavy roof rack and tent situation up there and it will be a huge hassle too remove it and possibly mess up my fitment.

I agree, I had mine installed in late December 2024, I was driving on the interstate going 70 mph and the light bar flew off. No one was hurt and got lucky it didn’t damage anything on the Beast. Made a new appointment and days later, they installed again and I mentioned to them to really glue it down and test it at high speeds. Since then no issues at all. And I’ve been driving 70-80mphs, car washes, in snow and been perfect. I’m not sure if I want to take a chance unless they just add a part or clip without touching anything else.

If it's well attached, they'll add a positive hold down bracket.

Yeah I’m just assuming that means some kind of bracket that needs to attach to the first mounting position on the roof. I’d like to see what that actually looks like before I consider letting them monkey around with mine.

I agree with you, I was just about to ask If anyone has any pictures of what this looks like. After all the headaches with this thing are we going to just end up with one that looks like the aftermarket ones sold?

This is what the report says on the bottom. I don't see any other attachment points they could possibly use for this.
:
The remedy component is attached with a bracket anchored to the vehicle structure and, if necessary,

an adhesive tape, whereas the recalled component was installed using a potentially incorrect adhesive primer.

Could be reach over from the roof rack mounts.

Full text:
Description of remedy program:
At no charge to customers, Tesla will inspect the service-installed optional off-road light bar accessory for delamination or damage and if either is present, replace the light bar with a new light bar adhered with tape and a positive mechanical attachment. If no delamination or damage is present, Tesla will retrofit the service-installed optional off-road light bar accessory with a positive mechanical attachment.

How remedy component differs from recalled component:
The remedy component is attached with a bracket anchored to the vehicle structure and, if necessary, an adhesive tape, whereas the recalled component was installed using a potentially incorrect adhesive
primer

They could run some kind of attachment under the cantrail. I seriously doubt they would go the first attachment, it’s to far back, and if it’s mandatory, and people have stuff installed there, they wouldn’t be able to use it.
Mine has been installed since Oct 24, no issues. Not going to replace it until the offer me money like they did with the cantrails.

Seems like the service guys weren’t on their game with the primer:

“Despite service instructions specifying use of the correct primer for each surface, in some cases, service technicians were inadvertently using BetaSeal on the windshield and BetaPrime on the optional off-road light bar accessory.”

naming them both beta-something seems like a dumb idea too…

I don’t want brackets on mine. I had my original install lift on one side and they reinstalled it and it’s been good so far.

You and I have had the exact same experience and have the exact same attitude about the current situation.

Question: with these types of recalls is there any time restrictions? My light bar is held on great and my windshield has zero rock chips. I mentioned the window because I have a free replacement due to manufacturing defect that I’m holding off on replacing until I get a bunch of rock chips. If/when I replace the windshield(possibly in a few years) then I get the new light bar.

Edit: pry off current light bar and claim it flew off. Get new free light bar and double fist them.

My light bar install took a long time because the outside temperatures were like 30°. Luckily the tech knew he had a heat up the bonding surfaces to the correct temperature because cold shit adhere. I think this has been a problem with a lot of installs.

If I’m being honest, you lost me at “double fisting.” 🤣

Not much there though...
Unless they make a combo cantrail hold down bracket...
