Since these were only offered on Foundation Series Cyberbeasts, I think we finally have our total FS/CB production number! Should be very close to 6200!!!! That’s more than I thought.

Much like my cantrails, I don’t want them fiddling around with my light bar unless I need it. And mine seems to be solid as a rock now. Importantly, if they want to attach something to the first position on the roof rack, I’ve already got a very heavy roof rack and tent situation up there and it will be a huge hassle too remove it and possibly mess up my fitment.
I wonder if this number is the FS CB's for which the light bar was installed rather than total FS CB's. Presumably they have a record of how many had the light bars installed?

I have a foundation CB, and have been removing "install light bar" from my service tickets for the last 8 months because I thought this day would arrive. All that to say, there are definitely OG CBs out there without them yet installed and I'm sure they know how many.

If your vehicle is affected by a recall, you will get a formal notification in the mail. You can also enter your VIN at the NHTSA website and it will list any outstanding recalls.

My guess is that the 6,197 number only includes Foundation CBs with the light bar installed. In other words, it would not include Foundation CBs without a light bar. And in that case, the 6,197 number would be an undercount for total Foundation CB production.

We should find out for sure over the next couple months. If my guess is correct, then the Foundation CB owners without a light bar will not receive recall notices in the mail, and their VINs will not show recalls at the NHTSA website.

According to the recall notice, affected owners will be notified on December 26, 2026. The notice does not have a date for when VINs will be searchable.

They could run some kind of attachment under the cantrail. I seriously doubt they would go the first attachment, it’s to far back, and if it’s mandatory, and people have stuff installed there, they wouldn’t be able to use it.
Mine has been installed since Oct 24, no issues. Not going to replace it until the offer me money like they did with the cantrails.
If they do something like this and its not visible or half ass im fine with it. If they are going to attach it to the roof like all the other aftermarket ones then I really don't want it. Unless they do something awesome to make up for it like put Beast logos on it.

Not much there though...
Unless they make a combo cantrail hold down bracket...

The third bolt you circled would be in the perfect spot, and a straight piece of that comes through the gap between the cantrail and the roof, the attaches to the side of the lighter.

According to the recall notice, the lightbar is actually manufactured by Hella Romania:
Hella is a global, family-owned company with more than 100 years of history that developes and manufactures lighting technology and electronic products for the automobile industry. The company operates in more than 35 countries.
Two addresses listed, one in Romania and one in Taiwan. Seems likely that the company is based in Romania but the actual manufacturing is in Taiwan.

"Hella" would also be a good name for a company in northern California.

Followup: Looks like the forum already knew this. Aftermarket Hella lightbars are sold with mounting brackets. Presumably someone at Tesla decided to go with adhesives instead.

So disappointing the more threads I read it seems that this truck is just glued together … we all know what happens to glue with time ..

3 times my truck has been in with various loose components and adhesive used to fix .

Maybe they should look at how the old series 3 Land Rover was made .. everything is rivetted in ..

If it's well attached, they'll add a positive hold down bracket.

Interesting. Sounds like they decided to go for VHB tape and a bracket after all. I anticipate it will look something like this picture i already posted.
Cheers @hemiarch
