I have been using FSD since 2019 and, like many, I watch accident reports involving Teslas and FSD as closely as possible. It seems to me that when there are claims of accidents using FSD it invariably turns out that the driver wasn't using FSD at all and, if it was, that the driver didn't do their job of paying attention. I just drove over 2,000 miles on a road trip and I used FSD for the vast majority of the time. I have a laundry list of issues with FSD but, all in all, it really does a very good job. Is it ready for me to sleep while driving? Hell no. But it really reduces the stress of driving long distances and it is always getting better a little bit at a time. So I am more than a bit annoyed by claims such as you have presented because I know that when FSD is blamed it is usually the driver that deserves the blame. Unfortunate for the driver, but true nonetheless. I know for a fact that FSD has made mistakes while I was the pilot-in-command that could have led to collisions, so it really does fall on us to be attentive and disengage when things go sideways.Be safe out there, protect yourself as seems Tesla won’t!
Hope update helps, use the subscription FSD and it make four to five mistakes or truthfully many more each drive that requires driver to take over.
