I tested it all day and it's better but it's still in no place to be unsupervise, it's definitely more hesitant on doing things, a couple of times it wouldn't make a choice between street lanes and was just doing this wheel saw back and forth before I finally had to take over. It works good on freeway metters now and if did a good job with emergency vehicles. I'm about to start a YouTube channel called fsd failures because it's done some crazy stuff with me and I always just have it set to standard I don't know what I would do if mad Max went wrong loll
I was heading home this morning, before the intersection there was a railway. It suddenly stopped a bit, there was no car in front of me and luckily the car behind me was far.
going to work- a stopped school bus dropping children off on the other side of the road, my CT stopped then continued after the school bus moved.
Another positive one, i was in the left lane and signalled and moved to the right lane in preparation for turning right then a car infront suddenly merged and my CT slowed down.

Installed yesterday morning but didn't get to drive it until last night. It started from inside my garage, backed out to the street, and headed to my destination. Navigated a bit too close to the other cars in the driveway when backing out, but still fine. Took me to my destination, but then wanted to take a really strange way into the parking lot of a restaurant, back around behind another building. At the restaurant, it picked a parking space, but it was a very tight fit due to the other vehicle being right next to the line. No way the other driver could get into their vehicle, so I manually chose another spot.

On the way home it avoided a pile of leaves in the road (something I didn't expect), and was somewhat jerkier than v13 and a bit more aggressive when it stopped at stoplights or behind other vehicles. It definitely feels more confident. For the first time it correctly chose the correct navigation at a tricky intersection near my home. It did not switch lanes to turn onto the freeway instead of going through the light and making a quick left turn post-freeway entrance. It's always struggled with this in the past. And for the first time ever it pulled into my driveway and up to my open garage door (but didn't enter the garage) instead of trying to park in front of my house.

It's almost able to do the full journey now, start to finish. I used MadMax most of the time, but then switched to standard because it was making too many lane changes. Overall a great improvement, and I'm sure they'll smooth it out over time.

Two short drives with 14.1. Much more confident at starts at stop signs and lights. I think it was better at left turns. It turned into my driveway and pulled into my garage at a angle, but honestly there was two cars to get around and Halloween decorations in the first bay. I hope in the future you can tell it to back in. I had it freak out making a right turn with traffic coming. The steering wheel went back and forth rapidly and it started and stopped rapidly, then finally went with another truck coming up behind me. If felt like it was trying to decide whether to go or not and couldn't make a decision. Unfortunately it thinks it is 25 mph when it is 45 so the truck came up behind me a little fast. I wish we could report wrong speeds. It happens on both ends of my development staying at 25 and driving that speed for 1/2 mile in a 45 because the traffic sign is 1/2 mile down the street. All other turns were confident and smooth. I saw it slightly slow down when another car was turning into the right lane between stopped traffic letting it out. I was in the second lane going the same direction at full speed. I would have slowed down slightly as well not sure whether the car was going to go through the first lane between cars on into my lane. Overall it really seems like a very nice update. Looking forward to more drives.

Welp, leaving daycare this afternoon was unpleasant. CT was so sentient that it made a very human error. There's a weird drop-off when exiting the parking lot to loop around to the front of the building. It backed out with authority, shifted to drive, and then drove the driver's side wheel right over the drop-off, slamming onto what I assume is the battery casing and then sheared off the rear fairing. Scared the hell out of me and my wife (baby didn't notice). It was still in the process of lifting from entry mode, which is why I assume it high centered/slid off.

Definitely plan on submitting it this to SC or just tagging the Cybertruck X account asking if this will be covered since I sure as shit would have never done something this dumb. Front bumper camera has a new edge case to train on I guess.

Definitely getting that terrestrial armor for my suburban expeditions 😅
It's still supervised and unless the CT is different from S3XY, the front bumper camera is recognized but not used while driving with FSD.

IE if the windshield camera can't see an object, FSD won't see it.

Apparently my Cybertruck thinks it’s better than everyone else and decided to take up two spaces!!
Mine did this too. Pulled into a supercharger smack bam on the middle of a white line with the charger on the passenger side.

I’d still 100% retrofit the front cam on our 2024x.
That’s one of the biggest advances of the “re-refresh” in my opinion. That and the 40 or so extra miles of range.
Everyone focuses on the new color, ambient lights and wheels though.

Keep driving. Camera calibration takes a good long while.
Not saying that’s your problem but when I had to do mine it took two days to get my FSD back.

They are obviously planning on using the front camera in the future. It will let you know if it's dirty or if you tape over it.

I had quite a disappointing experience with the FSD v14.1.7 in my Cybertruck.

I had all sorts of problems with it: wrong turning lanes, strange maneuvers across the lane on the road within about... 15 ft, phantom braking, multiple braking due to uncertainty, and turning onto the dividing lane instead of a lane.

I will film it all tomorrow. It's comparable to the first FSD v13 builds. Feels very rough.

For clarification, I drove during light rain, and it was already dark out, but it shouldn't affect it this way.

The Tesla team should probably stop sending the early builds to their most loyal testers and send them to those who can provide criticism. They should also test it in different conditions and different places more.

It'll definitely improve down the road, as it always has, but it's not great right now.

Tested in Kelowna, BC.
I don't think it's comparable in that way to version 13. Version 13 did not have Phantom braking. However, I experienced a number of substantial improvements with version 14 on my first 15 minute round trip drive. If you don't want the software early, you can change the software setting. You can really have it on advanced. That's why you got it early.

Two issues for me so far:

1. It chose a handicapped parking spot when parking.

2. It turned right onto a road where another vehicle was pulled over by police to the left, with their lights on, and it immediately tried pulling itself over.

Overall liked the new update, noticed most the improvements. I wish you can select the way it does the self parking. I prefer it backs in instead of headed in. It had hard time to back out the parking space after parked headed in.

I had the chance to do a 188 mile round trip with the first half done in the day time and the second half in the evening. Version 14.1.7 is just plan better than v13. One of the more noticeable things was that it no longer wants to hug the left hand side of the lane when it is in the number 1 lane on the freeway or a single lane road.

I never use the parking features when I drive because I like to park it myself (faster). I normally take control once I get to a parking lot. I have no issues with the different ride profiles. I like it better than the speed setting. Once you know what each of them do, it is easy to flick between modes. In summary, SLOTH = Speed Limit.

There were only 2 things it could not do. One of them was to back out of my narrow driveway. I personally did not test it, but my Wife did and said it was too close and took over. The second thing I noticed was when entering my gated subdivision. It has a lighted light saber gate with green/red lights on it. It stopped at the red light saber when it was down waiting for the larger iron gate behind it to open. When the larger gate behind it was open it wanted to go forward even though the light saber barrier was not up yet (and green). So I had to engage the brake.

During the 188 mile round trip I had zero issues other than the ones I noted. I recommend it over v13.

Hopefully they program the CT to run from the tow truck.

Used it start to finish yesterday.
Fremont to VA Palo Alto (down 280 and across 237)and back in the rain. Heavy traffic on the way there.
On the way there no real problems, never took over but a couple of lane changes that should have been fine were aborted.
On the way back it was raining pretty hard. Four aborted lane changes prompting me to take over as we needed to change lanes. Turn signal came on, stayed centered in lane, after a bit with signal on, moved to side of lane, then pulled back to center of lane aborting change. Two slows due to weather, one Take Over Immediately due to rain.
