I've started the process of trading in my '24 AWD for a '26 AWD. Are there any major differences between the two years outside of improved QA?

  • Brake and accelerator pedals are dark rubber/plastic instead of metal.
  • Anti-corrosive (?) coating on the frame changed from a gold material to black.
  • Some type of frame enhancements for crash-worthiness (others will know more)

Did the Beast change to rubber pedals? I didn't know they made this change.

Don't forget the ”blue” structural adhesive change on the assembly line. No more SS panels coming loose.

AI…

“Tesla is updating the Cybertruck with a new, robust
structural adhesive—specifically identified as Fuser 2098 or BETAMATE 2098—to fix issues where exterior stainless steel trim panels and components could detach due to environmental embrittlement. This high-strength, two-part epoxy is used in repairs to reattach bumpers and tow hitches to the aluminum frame, providing, and in some cases exceeding, the strength of traditional welding.“

I'm considering this as well. Care to share details? How much did Tesla give for your 24? how many miles did It have. Are you transferring FSD. Are you getting 3.99%, Free supercharging?, etc. Curious about everything.

26 has the newest version of the 4680 cell with 973 chemistry (vs 955) with both anode and cathodes being dry (vs just anode). There is a very slight ~1-1.5% capacity increase and a wider thermal window. The cells react slightly better in cold temps (less snowflake) and when DC charging go about 1c higher before thermal throttling. Some theoretical cycle improvements, but likely minimal.
