I wonder if the BAWD will have at least 1 unique identifier in the VIN...

Might have a lower GVWR (digit 6 maybe "G" instead of "H" like the RWD). Digit 8 is for the number of motors, but that should remain the same ("D" = dual, "C"=RWD).
Yeah, could be a _GED_, AWD and Beast are H load rated.

Funny, my wife was really against the CT and then I got it and she initially didn’t want to drive it (I was fine with that as it was my DD), then she needed it for getting some plants/shrubs and thats all it took….I ended up having to wrench it away from her and she still wants to drive it…..the self driving really sold her on it……ironically if it had 6 seats we would have 2 because she prefers the CT now over the escalade but we often carpool and need seating for 6……I was hoping a used model x would work and tried that for a bit but she hated it.
I booked a demo in my wife's name. She drives MYLR. Her another love is Sienna.
When we arrived she told the rep that she doesn't want to change anything, she doesn't like it, and that I'm forcing her :)
Then the rep sat in drivers' seat for a quick drive, and while on FSD she just chatted with her barely looking at the road.
Then my wife drove it... The only complaint was the blinkers. We had it for about an hour, she parked in several places.
When we got home I saw her scrolling through the wraps options.

I placed my order on Day 2. My Father-in-Law has a Premium Dual motor and i've driven it a couple times and fell in love with it. Currently have a M3LR that's lease it up in about a year but couldn't pass up the pricing. Does anyone know when Dealers will have this version for test drives would like to see the interior and everything ahead of time.

The Cybertruck has a problem that people have a pre-existing hate for it. Probably due to the negative news coverage or social media that they look at. They follow their peers and when everyone they know is saying it sucks they just follow along.

I have heard groups of people agreeing with one hater. The hater has all kinds of ideas about why it's bad but of course doesn't own one. Everyone just follows what they say.

Hopefully with this limited deal more will be out on the road and it can start to be accepted more.

Known combinations of VIN Digits 6, 7, and 8 include the following::

GEC = RWD
HED = Premium AWD
HEE = Cyberbeast

I believe all Premium AWDs and CBs use "H" in Digit 6, even if the vehicle-specific GVWR is less than 9,000 lbs.

Agree, the Standard AWD could be GED if the GVWR is rated like the RWD, in which case it would have a unique identifier. Seems most likely.

Otherwise it should be HED, in which case the VIN would not distinguish Standard vs. Premium AWDs.

April 2027 delivery now for Base AWD Yikes. This is going to be a shit show.

Imagine having to hold onto the FSD transfer for more than a year. This is a stupid exercise in retail.
Reminds me of a retailer with a beautiful window mannequin dressed all up. Walk into the store they have nothing that is in the window but the t-shirt the mannequin is wearing.

Wow. Any chance there doing this to disincentive purchases at this price due to the demand being so high? The big question is will the date stated when you purchased stick???

Now we are getting into product changeover timeframe. What someone wants in Feb of one year might change that far out.

This means orders are through the roof at this price. Excellent to hear for TSLA investing.
Or there are product bottlenecks that can't be produced to catch up with existing stock use. Seems awfully extreme in date changes.

My guess is that knowing that this is going to be "promo" price, they allocated some of their capacity for it. And demand consumed all that they planned for THIS price. Instead of placing a sign "Sold out" - they put unrealistic wait time. And after 28th they will start accepting orders at a higher price but for a closer delivery dates.

My woman rolled her eyes in grief at that "ugly thing" after I made the reservation in 2019, and I never mentioned it to her again until I showed up with it after delivery. I wasn't going to change my mind, and there was no point arguing about it.

She loves it now, btw :love:
