^ Never crossed Elon's mind. Somehow people think it is Tesla's goal is to keep assembly lines going or workers employed.

There's a concept in real estate called "Highest and best use", meaning, the highest and best use of an assembly line you spent MILLIONS of $$$ building out, is, to have it building what it was intended to build 24 X 7, and yes, employing the Giga Texas workers as well, as this filters down to many many ancillary jobs for local suppliers, restaurants, and all kinds of supply chains downstream, it's also "saving face" for Elon as well

Placed my order on the 21st, RN127155704. Moved pretty quickly because I was ready to pull the trigger on the Premium version, then this popped up. My fingers are crossed for a June delivery.

I see you had a lightning, I did too (2022 for a couple years)….was SR and range (or lack of) was an issue for me.
how do you like the sierra? (I had an ICE sierra in the past and the sierra EV is nice)

We've had similar vehicle ownership. My trajectory was 22 Sierra Denali 6.2L -> 23 Lightning Lariat ER -> Ford Buy Back replaced with 24 F150 King Ranch Hybrid -> Traded for 24 Sierra EV Denali.

Sierra range (440mi) was a game changer for me, along with it's faster charging. Weekend trips and long 1000mi+ road tripping is night and day experience compared to "325mi" of the LER. I can do a day trip to Houston, Dallas, or San Antonio at highway speeds and not have to stop to charge unless I drive a lot at the destination. No matter what shortcomings come up, no one else provides this range in a full sized truck. It's a definitive aspect of the truck. I do love that it's a nice, beautiful, comfortable truck, that drives like a luxe-tank; it gets complimented often. Compared to ICE, I have nothing to complain about. Well, one thing, I'm still pissed it doesn't have PAAK. After the LER I assumed all EV's had PAAK, and I miss it. Available in 2026 MY.

The reason I like the CT though is I feel it provides better value for the things I prioritize. With legacy, hands free driving capability drags you into the upper trims. Fast acceleration, drags you into the upper trims. Personally, I don't like too much flash, I prefer mid sporty trims that blend in, but to get the tech and acceleration I get forced into upper trims. CT is more my preference. Functional, resilient, advanced, and mid price point; lots of bang for the buck.

It don't get much flashier than a CT. There is no going under the radar or blending in with this truck
