Well - I had a service appt scheduled for the 16th and they are going to take a look at it. They said mobile service wasn't an option. I had my fingers crossed it was just software, but after a 5 or 10 min drive my front drive unit temp is significantly higher than rear so I fear I might actually have a leak or something. We'll see. Super bummed because was supposed to take the truck on a 3 hour drive (one way) this weekend and don't think that'll be happening now.

I'm a couple hours from closest SC and they said they can't give me a loaner because of how far the trip is from the SC ? guess it's time to rent a car.

For the second time I have had the Gearbox Fluid Service request pop-up. The first time was in the first 3,000 miles when it was very cold and now I am close to 20,000 and the weather was 60F. The first time the Tesla service center checked it and said it was a software update needed. This time it came on after driving 200 miles and stayed on after two supercharger sessions. On the way back from Kentucky, it did not pop-up at all for the 300 mile trip. They said for me to contact them if it stays on. I have a service appointment scheduled for other items next week and I added it to my list anyway. I have to say I am a little concerned, should I be and what all should I ask them to do?

I went over this before in another thread I think. I had the same alert in December. It disappeared in January when the weather was (a little) warmer. I still kept my service appointment and they checked the fluid levels and said everything was fine and functioning as it should, and that the sensor was malfunctioning in the extreme cold temps. I have not had it in warmer temps (knock on wood) and I’m not sure why it is showing up for you so I would definitely bring it in
