My juniper is 25% better with FSD than my CT, primarily with edge stuff

Here's a new wrinkle for me. In my neighborhood the speed limit is 20. The CT FSD and UI seem to be unable to read the sign, located just as you enter the neighborhood. I thought it was because the sign (standard) is framed in wood to look nice. I had decided this was just a AI learning problem because the sign was "different". Yesterday I drove home in an MX loner from Tesla Service. The MX FSD and UI read the speed limit sign with no issues.

Also during the 60 mile trip home the MX while in standard kept exactly at the speed limit (30 and 35 mph zones) and precisely at 75 on the highway (70 mph). I didn't experience any of the shenanigans of FSD in the CT.

So, I'm starting to think the CT is just under represented in the FSD training data.

Until it gets better, they really need to allow the driver to override FSD speed settings.
100%!!

I had a MX loaner for the PCS swap. What a difference!! Much more decisive, yet much smoother. No tailgating on the freeway. Obeying speed limits.

Here's to hoping the CT FSD fleet keeps expanding, haha!!

For what its worth, I have not had any of the tailgating issues that others have reported for months. In fact, I actually wish it would leave LESS of a gap between me and the car in front of me if anything.

I got an X the other day for a loaner too and it had many of the same issues that my CT does tbh. It was a LITTLE bit quicker at lane switching but it was still messed up with the speed profiles. I'm starting to think these experiences are localized.

The screen will display posted speed limits that aren't even posted and contradict the signs. Same on my neighborhoods streets. FSD relies pretty heavily on map data.

This is BS.

I have almost 70k highway miles and a rock hasn't even touched my windshield. The design of the CT helps with that. There was a thread of people talking about this. It's not anecdotal, rocks just fly right over the windshield.

The follow distance is set by FSD. Speed, conditions, etc. It will follow as close as it calculates it will be able to react.

I agree that speed controls are broken, but as far as I can find there have been no FSD caused rear-end accidents at or above 45 mph (there have been 6 under 35 mph and 1 I saw at 41 mph). It may make you uncomfortable, but all the data shows it's perfectly safe.
My winshield crack is an optical illusion?
