Found this guy looking for some other content. Noticed he did his second buyback this month. He talks a lot but basically the video said it is because of creaking, fsd shutdown, air suspension failure, regen braking, and other things.

Seems crazy to me to send it back twice for a few small things but what do you all think?

I think Tesls is being very generous with CT buy backs for YT influencers. He said no way an another but I can see him buying one for content purposes.
Yeah i wonder if any non influencer has gotten a CT buyback so easily

He didn’t have a “few small things” wrong with his Cybertrucks. Both of them had a long list of recurring issues, as did my Cybertruck, which Tesla was also very quick to buy back.

Quality control, build quality, and reliability on Cybertrucks has been sub-par. Let’s not normalize or minimize it by saying it was just a few small things.

It’s not normal for vehicles, especially $80,000+ ones, to have the number of issues many Cybertrucks have been plagued with (cantrails, winter wind noise, PCS/charging failures, suspension failures, windshield wiper issues, just to name a few).

Tesla dropped the ball and should be held accountable.

I like Kobra... Maybe he emphasizes a bit to make content more detailed but Kobra is legit, once upon a time he was a member of this forum. @kobratoldya My money is on a 3rd CT coming up in his future. The man loved his CT as do we all. He's not posting that stuff to bash Tesla, he's a fan.

agree. kobra’s stuff helped me to make my final decision and decide on accessories. he’s just
trying to keep the content flowing since no ones buying CTs.

What I don’t get is how this is possibly better financially for Tesla than fixing the issues.
Big outlay AND bad PR. Poor decision on behalf of some bonehead SC manager is how I interpret that.
This ain’t a shortcut, it’s worse for Tesla especially to do this for a public figure.

It depends on the state. Places like California, the manufacturer doesn't have much say.

Buy Backs are a gesture of goodwill to maintain a valued relationship with customers.

Some customers repurchase the identical make and model after the corporate reimbursement check has been issued.

Maybe so…but there is always a way around that I imagine. “Here is a model x or Cybertruck loaner to drive around while we have our best tech spend two days ironing out the specific issues you’re having with your truck even though we’re busy”is likely a better solution than a buyback and it’s hard for me to imagine many people saying “fuck you, I don’t want that, take my truck back right now”

Someone here initiated a Lemon Law buyback due to rattles, FSD not going the speed limit, and phantom wipes. Which is wild...that just means they didn't want a Tesla.

Tesla does seem to be pretty quick buying back the CT, I agree. I was just pointing out that if issues aren't resolved for 30 days, many states will force a buy back.
