Bye bye Tesla Insurance. In addition to the poor service which is essentially email only with 1 week response times, I was paying nearly double what a Progressive policy costs. I am now insuring my wifes 2024 Model 3 DM and my Cybertruck for $100 less than just the Cybertruck alone 6 month premium and I have a lower deductible $500 vs $1000. What a rip off Tesla Insurance has been. The convenience of having the policy in the Tesla App is not worth the absurd cost.

Be careful with Progressive. I found their 6 month premium to be hundreds lower on a prior vehicle that I owned so I switched.

My next 6 month premium jumped up significantly with zero claims. I feel that Progressive pulled the classic “bait and switch” tactic to lure me in.

Anyone else have the same experience with Progressive?
That is concerning but I just got fed up with Tesla Insurance. They kept my sold Model X (removed it from the APP) on my policy for a year before I finally got it cancelled. I made several email requests for a refund but emails never got a reply. No humans to talk to unless you're willing to wait 6 hours on hold. I'm done with them ...

Just got my quote and was blown away. I drive the truck about 6000 miles a year, I’m at 88 percent on FSD and no tickets in probably 10 years. Tesla Quote is $329.53 per month! I pay $125. Has anyone gotten a reasonable quote?

Lemonade just came to OR and I signed up. Yes, the app is tracking everything I do, not a fan of that, but based on the the estimated cost, I'm willing to risk it.

2026 Cybertruck Premium AWD
2 Drivers
1K deductible
15K personal injury
50K/100K Uninsured/Under insured
250K/500K Bodily injury
100K Property Damage

Monthly Base: $64.40 plus mileage
Manual Drive rate 0.105
FSD rate 0.053
My estimated mileage of 1200 a month (97% FSD) puts me at about $130 a month

Signing up was easy, app walks you through everything, had some initial issues with it reporting the FSD miles correctly, but I think it may be worked out.

Only criticism, like GEICO, it is very app/chat/email reliant so it can be a challenge to get help if your questions don't "fit" their chat-bot knowledge.

Updating after first billing cycle. Drove about 1,600 miles, 98% FSD. Bill was $159.

I went from $75/mo with Progressive to $85/mo after 6 months.

it seems what I find is always $240 to $320. I definitely have Tesla insurance. Full insurance, I'm still paying it off.

I have an approximate 8% decrease at initial 6-month renewal with Progressive Insurance, compared to the original 6-month cost with Progressive. And this initial cost was 15% lower than Tesla insurance with 98-100 Safety Score . Can't wait for Lemonade to offer FSD-adjusted rates in Colorado.

I have USAA today and could not believe the Progressive quote being so much lower
but was worried they do a bait in switch
is everyone happy with progressive?

I switched to Lemonade and they give 50% off per mile driven in FSD. I have 4 vehicles insured and I’m paying less than 1/2 of what I was paying to Tesla insurance.

Is the Lemonde FSD rate depending on the state you live in? When I checked online it did not offer it. Early March, Bay Area, California. The standard rate resulted in a cost per month very close to Tesla, for 1500 miles per month, 18K/year.
