Seems we are all seeing Progressive providing the biggest savings. Imagine their analysis is we use FSD and are a lower risk pool for them to insure.

$96.50/month for my 2024 AWD Cybertruck, through Erie (and a good, local insurance agent).

Older, high credit rating, no kids on the policy, and neither the wife nor I are the kind of folks who have accidents, get tickets, or make claims.

Bundled home/auto helps a little. Actual policy is $3337/year, with four vehicles (2024 Cybertruck, 2022 Model 3 AWD, 2025 Toyota Tacoma, 2009 Toyota Tacoma). Full coverage on all except the 2009 Tacoma. High deductibles help.

Beware of policies (including Tesla) which encourage sharing your vehicle telemetry in return for "savings." Insurance companies are not your friend.

$1,800/year with SF in upstate NY as a 71 year old retiree, BUT have you heard of Lemonade that is advertising LOW rates if you use FSD, not available in NY yet, but I'm waiting, check them out (https://tesla.lemonade.com/fsd)

Has anyone switched over to lemonade and confirmed that it is significantly cheaper than progressive?

This thread is useless unless you quote the coverage amount!

The problem with a thread like this is it matters more about your age/credit score/driving history than that it's a Cybertruck. I'm old, have a great credit score, no accidents that were my fault, and have been with State Farm for over 40 years. I only pay $515/6 months. My wife pays slightly higher on her MY.

Not true. I'm old with a perfect driving record, and the vehicle VIN of different makes/models makes the quote price swing WILDLY on every insurer I try. Some new vehicles were/are 4x the price to insure than other new vehicles with the same coverage.

Luxury German cars are among the most expensive to insure. Example: I could insure a $120K Ford Raptor R for $200 per month, with the same driver (me) and coverage it would cost $700/month to insure a used Audi RS6 Avant Wagon that has the same $120K value.

The answer is most likely, Progressive.
Just shopped around, here's my results.
All quotes were for the same exact protections.

Code:
Location: Texas
History: No accidents/tickets
Drivers: Husband & Wife (25+)
Liability: $250k/$500k/$100k
Uninsured BI: $50k/$100k
PIP: $10k
Comprehensive: $500 deductible
Collision: $500 deductible
Rental: Declined
Tow: Declined
Allstate: $513/mo
Lemonade: $211/mo
Geico: $209/mo
Progressive: $49/mo

I mean, lowest is an understatement. $200 is ridiculous, let alone $500.
I imagine they do account for it already, probably not directly, but just overall safety stats.
I don't think the other companies are doing that fairly...

I pay $1390 every 6 months for 2 cars full coverage with Allstate, Mercedes AMG and Cybertruck AWD. This is with home bundled and I live on the outskirts of Dallas.

This may be a dumb question but once basics start hitting the road, will that lower rates across the board or have no effect on the higher trims? The 60/70 price seems confusing too how it would play into costs to repair, replace, etc.

Be careful with Progressive. I found their 6 month premium to be hundreds lower on a prior vehicle that I owned so I switched.

My next 6 month premium jumped up significantly with zero claims. I feel that Progressive pulled the classic “bait and switch” tactic to lure me in.

Anyone else have the same experience with Progressive?
