I know, I know nobody likes to hear any criticism of their baby. I’m sorry. But one of those heathens over on Reddit asked the following question: Besides ASS, which options/features does the Cybertruck not have that other S3XY vehicles do?

Being the glass half-empty beam of sunshine that I am, I already had a pretty good list ready to go, but this made me think about it a little bit harder and here’s what I came up with:

—

HomeLink - S3XY 😔

Adaptive Headlights - Every S3XY beginning with the 2021 M3P 😔

Not Just ASS. Dumb Summon, Auto Pilot - S3XY 😔

Auto-opening/closing doors - X (understandable omission, but not a ā€œflagshipā€ configuration)

Best Audio - SX

22 speakers 960 watts total output 1 subwoofer Active noise cancellation Individualized DSP tuning for cabin geometry CT= 15 speakers two of which are subwoofers. ANC just coming online in certain vehicles. Sounds muddled compared to my plaid but many will assert otherwise.

Top HP Spec - SX Plaid 1020hp. 845 for CB.

Quickest - S Plaid 0-60mph 1.99 sec. 2.6 for CB

Fastest - S Plaid 200mph [With no longer available track pack; 175 or 162 w/o].

Binnacle - SX

Motorized pivoting center screen - SX

Usable Rear View Mirror- S3XY

Rear Camera Washer - 3Y [Refreshed]

Older and discontinued:

USS - Some S3XY

Radar - Some S3XY

Ryzen Steam capable CPU/ separate GPU - Some SX (short window).

Carbon Ceramic brakes - S Plaid [with no longer available track pack]

What, if anything, did I miss? If I didn’t miss anything what if any of these do you care about even in the slightest?
Powershare software update to work with powerwall 3

On crap roads my 2018 MX, 2021 & 2025 MY's were shake, rattle and blow (wind noise). The 2026 Cybertruck is silent, composed and smooth with a barely audible but nice spaceship whirring sound when accelerating.

My wifes 2024 Highland Model 3 and I assume the Juniper Model Y's are pretty good on bumpy pothole ridden roads. What ar we, some crappy third-world country? ... Oh wait, what am I thinking ... having good roads and solid infrastructure requires that people actually work for a living.

My glass is way full with the Cybertruck and after wrapping it, I'm even beginning to think it isn't half bad looking! The new M3's and all MS's were good looking cars where the MY and MX are pod mobiles. IMHO

Grumpy old man out ...

The CT has a powered open and close glovebox.

Not sure about SX.

You may not miss it, but at the beginning, the Model S had AM radio. And I think SiriusXM satellite radio (not SiriusXM streaming) was available as an option.

HomeLink - Even the GDO used by SG-1 required manual entry. Be a man and push a button.

Adaptive Headlights - I just leave my high-beams on all the time. Drivers get mad but they were probably going to give me the finger anyway

Not Just ASS. Dumb Summon, Auto Pilot - Real Men use FSD

Auto-opening/closing doors - With FSD, operating the door is the only manual task I have left, so leave it alone

Best Audio - No stereo can overwhelm the sound of Cybertruck being awesome

Quickest - Come talk to me after the Plaid adds 2000lbs

Fastest - Cybertruck is faster to the top of Moab

Binnacle - I only stare at my phone while driving

Motorized pivoting center screen - Pivot only needed for those other tiny screens

Usable Rear View Mirror - Open your damn vault

Rear Camera Washer - Mud and dirt is Cybertruck's love language

Ryzen Steam capable CPU/ separate GPU - Mahjong is good enough for anybody

Carbon Ceramic brakes - Who needs brakes? I have insurance
